What does a Wedding Planner do?
Lots of couples feel that they could have a really good stab at planning their wedding but realise that they just do not have the time to put their full energy into it. If you have the right wedding planner (me), you will feel supported throughout, at ease and excited about your big day! As your wedding planner, I will listen to all of your ideas, work in partnership with you, advise you, recommend and liaise with suppliers and help turn your dreams into a reality. I will be realistic about what is and is not achievable and help you to stick to your budget.
My venue has a coordinator. Why do I need you?
Some venues will have an event co-ordinator who will help with all things relating to the site. They are a great vendor for planners to approach for all thing’s venue related. They may also be able to recommend some good suppliers should you need it. However, your wedding planner brings together all the elements of your day, managing and liaising with suppliers, and will be the main point of contact throughout the process. I will deal with the catering, the entertainment, the hireables, the accommodation, the décor, the venue details, basically everything you need. The planner makes sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
What does a stylist actually do?
A stylist is a brilliant addition to your wedding. Why should you be worried about hanging décor from the ceiling of your marquee or taking 100 chairs into a woodland glade or even making sure that the tables are set up on the morning of your wedding? You should be being pampered and possibly having a glass of something nice, not getting up a ladder, ruining your dress and getting a sweaty top lip. If you hire me as your stylist, I will work with you to create an amazing design for your wedding – something that ties the day together. Maybe you would like a beautiful ceremony backdrop, an awesome chill out area, stunning table design? I can make sure that your décor reflects you and your personalities.
How much do you charge?
Although I offer set packages, each wedding is different, and every couple has their own requests, requirements and budget. The great thing about my services is that they are completely bespoke. For example, you may want me to help plan your wedding from the beginning or alternatively create a design and styling concept, be there to set up and then sneak away. So, the slightly frustrating answer is that it really depends on what services you would like. However, what is really important to understand is that any fee you are quoted is based on your specific requirements, my time and the energy I will dedicate to making your wedding amazing. There might be cheaper options, but you won’t want to scrape the bucket when creating something as amazing as your day will be. It’s likely to be the only time you do this. Make it awesome and regret nothing.
