Do you allow outside caterers?
For a number of reasons, we no longer work with outside caterers and/or food trucks (we're happy to explain all if you choose to visit!). We are proud to offer couples the brilliant services of Monkton's Rustic Table, experts in all things food + drink and overseen by Michelin award-winning Executive Chef, James Knight. For specialist catering requirements, we work with a small group of trusted partners to bring you a wedding banquet to remember!
Do you offer outside weddings?
Yes, we do! It's all about choice here at Monkton Barn - marry on our meadow out in the open air, or make use of our capri marquees available to hire should you like some shelter. Alternatively, marry in our charming woodland dell - a dedicated space available for your ceremony, just a 5 minute walk from the main barn.
Do you have accommodation?
During the summer months, Glamping is available on the meadow; a great option for festival-style weddings! Nearby hotels provide everything from basic overnight stays, to luxurious 5-star suites. We are pleased to be able to offer our couples and their guests preferential rates at a well-regarded hotel chain, just 5 minutes drive away.
What is the capacity at Monkton Barn?
The barn and its marquee can accommodate up to 200 for a standing reception; seated dining up to 150 and approximately 100 for a civil ceremony in the barn. Ceremonies can also take place in the larger marquee. On the meadow we can accommodate up to approximately 450 guests. Additional marquees can be hired in via one of our preferred suppliers.
Do you offer exclusive use of the venue?
Yes - each event at Monkton Barn enjoys exclusive use of the whole venue including the barn and its marquee, the courtyard, meadows and woodland.
