You can have a ceremony unique to you - the entire ceremony will be designed around you as a couple, not the same as everyone else! You can still have all the elements of a legal civil ceremony if you want to, and so much more. And you can have whatever you want in the script - unlike legal civil ceremonies where the script is very limited.

You are right that an independent celebrant cannot conduct a legal marriage, in England and Wales only a Registrar can do that. But there are ways to be creative! There is a difference between a marriage and a wedding - the marriage is the legal contract between you, and the wedding is the celebration. So you have a very simple legal ceremony in a Register Office (takes about 15 minutes, just the two of you and two witnesses required by law, no fuss and costs around £50) and then you have the wedding you really want!

Although Rainbow Weddings was only founded earlier this year, our lead celebrant Paul was a Registrar for twelve years, and so he has conducted literally hundreds of wedding ceremonies at a wide variety of venues in Kent. He has extensive experience to bring to every ceremony.

We are very much aware of the financial pressures on couples at the moment, and really want to do our bit to help if we can. We have therefore intentionally set our fees as low as we possibly can because we firmly believe that no-one should be priced out of having the ceremony they want. For Monday to Thursday ceremonies our fees are £450, Friday and Saturday £550 and Sunday £600. Those prices are fully inclusive, there is no more to pay. And once you have secured your booking with a 30% non-refundable deposit we guarantee that the price will not increase before your ceremony.
