FAQS

Does the venue have a dance floor?

Yes, we have a dance floor in the Medieval Barn with bespoke light and sound system

Can we bring our own alcohol?

You have the option to supply your own drinks for your reception and meal which we are happy to accommodate. If you decide to supply your own wedding drinks for the reception and meal, we will apply our corkage fees and you will need to arrange glassware and service with your chosen caterer.

Can we have a band?

Yes, you can bring in a band which can set up and play on the dance floor

Can we have an outside ceremony?

Yes, our Courtyard is the perfect place to have an outside ceremony, licensed for civil ceremonies under the summerhouse, the Courtyard features a mix of paving, olive trees, fragrant plants and flowers.

Can we bring a dog?

Yes, we can accommodate up to one dog in the Manor House and venue.

Is it a working farm?

Sandon Manor does not do any farming on event days and all farm equipment is kept out of site on wedding days.

Exclusivity?

We only have one wedding a weekend and one wedding during the week.

Access to the venue before wedding day?

You will have access to the venue to drop off, set up and walk through before your wedding stay

Catering?

We work with 3 outstanding local caterers. They offer a range of menus and drinks packages at different prices and will run the bar for you. Please note that food and drinks packages are in addition to Sandon Manor’s prices. Sandon Manor in collaboration with our local wine merchant have created a wine list, if you would like to order your wine and fizz. If you wish to bring your own wine and fizz for the meal, we as a venue charge corkage. The caterers will charge a service, glass and cleaning fee. Sandon Manor provides: A highly experienced venue manager on your wedding day to provide technical support, operate audio equipment and manage musicians and bands. A friendly and professional event coordinator to ensure you and your guests are well looked after at all times during your wedding day and ensure everything runs smoothly

Historically beautiful, countryside wedding venue with a team of professional organisers. I felt so very lucky to be able to get married here. It is not often you come across a carefully restored 12th century Tithe barn. With the wedding set up it really looked incredible. We had a large gathering of people and the venue still felt very comfortable. The options for space and photos also mean that guests can enjoy bubbles outside while you as a couple can take a bit of time for pictures etc. A team of such friendly local people were involved in the set up, service and general organisation throughout. We used a local caterer and the quality of food was outstanding, catering to such a range of tastes.

We had the best day celebrating our wedding reception at Sandon Manor. Getting ready in the beautiful house and Dovecot, then returning to the barn for our drinks reception, food and dancing - it was brilliant. Communication from Kate and Holly was excellent and they really understood what we wanted for our wedding. We had booked the house for the whole weekend too and loved that we, and the guests that were also staying could pop back (the security team for the house and the barn were fantastic too). We were Sandon Manor's first wedding but you felt like they had done it 100 times over and if anything didn't go to plan, we certainly didn't notice. One of the big selling points for us was the separate (but not separate) dance floor. So many guests said how nice it was that they could still sit around and chat but still see the dance floor and hear the music in the background. The dance area was just the right size for us and our friends and family to show off some serious moves. Thank you to Holly and all of the team, and extended team, at Sandon Manor. Our wedding day was filled with love, laughter, drinks and LOTS of dancing.
