What is your venue capacity?
We can accommodate up to 130 guests for a civil ceremony. Our two reception venues – the Marquee and the River Room - can seat between 50 – 150.
Do you have any onsite accommodation?
Our 2-bedroomed, self-catered cottage, Idle Waters, is set in picturesque surroundings, just across the river from Talbooth Restaurant, while our neighbouring sister hotels – Milsoms and Talbooth House & Spa – have 15 and 12 bedrooms respectively. All accommodation is serviced via our on-site courtesy cars.
Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?
We are licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 130 guests – these take place in our River Room, with views overlooking the River Stour
Do you allow external caterers?
With over 70 years’ experience in the industry, food is an area we’re particularly passionate about. We’re committed to delivering the very best standard of cooking, whatever the size, shape or format of your wedding celebrations, and have a brilliant team of chefs who will work with you to create the perfect menu, suited to your tastes and your day.
What is the finish time?
We want everyone to have a fantastic evening, but equally need to be considerate to our neighbours. For that reason, we ask that music ends at midnight, however circumstance-dependent, this can be extended to 1.00am, along with bar service, for a small fee.
