How many guests can you accommodate in the day and evening?

The Yorke Arms is a small 18th-century venue which can accommodate 28 guests for the wedding ceremony, dining and evening celebrations.

Is the venue licensed for civil ceremonies?

Yes, The Yorke Arms and its grounds are fully-licensed for civil ceremonies with room for up to 28 guests. If you would prefer a religious ceremony, St Mary’s Church is within walking distance of The Yorke Arms - guests can return to the venue for celebrations afterwards.

Is the venue available for exclusive hire?

We offer total exclusivity, meaning that the entire wedding party can take advantage of the site during their celebration with a dedicated team on-hand to help, 24/7. Relax in the comfort of our dining area, kick back with a board game or simply sip a G&T in the comfort of your room. Don’t forget to explore the stunning surroundings away from the hustle and bustle, taking in everything that Yorkshire has to offer.

Do you have accommodation on-site?

The Yorke Arms features accommodation across the Main House, Courtyard and West Wing, with 18 rooms each bearing their own distinctive design and furnishings - with Yorkshire-inspired names to boot! Some of our Courtyard rooms can accommodate whole families, while others have the beauty of Ramsgill to look out upon.

Can we use our own caterers?

No, we do not allow outside catering. Being an intimate venue means that everything can be totally customised to you and no request is too large - it is your big day, after all. Our in-house and highly-experienced team of chefs will help you to create a completely bespoke menu, from a courtyard BBQ to a three-course meal with all the bells and whistles! We can accommodate all dietary requirements and offer bespoke pricing, complete with wine pairings and much more.
