FAQS
Can you have your wedding ceremony at Waxham Barn?
Yes, Waxham Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies and we have also recently been approved for outdoor ceremonies.
Is Waxham Barn a licensed venue?
Yes, Waxham Barn is now a fully licensed venue. Alcohol can be served in the courtyard up to 10 pm at night and up to midnight in the Barn. There is no corkage fee payable.
Are there any hotels/B&Bs near Waxham?
Yes as Waxham sits in a tourist area, there are lots of B&B’s, air B&B’s, self-catering, caravan parks etc. We have listed a number of these in our Directory.
Can you have candles and sparklers in the Barn?
Because Waxham Barn has a large thatched roof, you can’t have any naked flame in the Barn or close to the Barn. However, couples now use electronic candles or festoon lighting as part of their styling of the Barn. You can have sparklers but only in the car park. The same goes too if you want to have a bbq as your means of catering as the bbq can be placed at the far courtyard wall opposite the main door of the Barn which has worked extremely well in the past for weddings.
Does Waxham Barn come with anything i.e. tables and chairs etc.
No it’s a DIY venue. When you book with us we give you our Wedding Suppliers Directory from which you can pick your photographer, caterer, florist etc. However, you do not have to choose any supplier from the list, you choose whoever you like. We just give you the list as a starting point, however, the list is our list of recommended suppliers but its Your Day Your Way!
