Inspiration

Wedding wellies? A dog? Personalised cocktails? These images!? We may or may not be crying (ok, we are). Sophie & Dan had originally planned their wedding for 110 guests, but changed this to 13 due to the pandemic. Their styling took on a modern, rustic and elegant vibe, with a colour scheme of navy, berry and gold. From the minute they started getting ready, to the moment the day was ending, it was entirely relaxed and laid-back. Guinness (their black Labrador), spent the entire day with them, and we can totally feel all the love during those wedding speeches! Just another micro-wedding proving that if there’s enough love, you’ll be sure to fill the room.

We pulled our wedding forward by two weeks (with only a weeks notice), to avoid further restrictions. Initially, you think everything has to be perfect, but on the day none of that matters! All the hard work pays off & you have to soak in every minute with enjoyment!

FAVOURITE MOMENT

I guess, I had a moment of realisation when we were sat at the table. I felt so incredibly lucky to be surrounded & supported by our nearest. Actually, it wasn't ‘a shame' we couldn’t have our original planned wedding. Yes, it wasn't the initial plan & it was a bumpy ride, but what mattered most is that I was able to marry my now husband & the numbers didn't change anything. The things I would have been stressed about didn't even phase me!

MICRO WEDDING

15 person weddings can be AMAZING! We ended up having 13 guests, but the day was NO less special. We pretty much kept everything the same - but we moved the reception to our rejigged ceremony room, (so it was like we had always planned for a small intimate wedding).

VIBE

We wanted to make every touch personal to us and what we loved. Even bringing our wedding wellies & having our black lab running around with us all day! We also had his & hers cocktails (on a sign too), and featured a cocktail hour after sparklers. The guys also had a cigar and whiskey moment!

We absolutely love Sophie & Dans neon sign above their wedding cake! An incredibly cool addition.

If Sophie & Dan’s wedding wellies are your vibe, then stay tuned. Take a look at this incredibly styled wedding, complete with a Union Jack umbrella and wellies! And, if you absolutely love their neon sign, head on over to possibly the coolest wedding we’ve ever seen. Complete with a naked cake and a totally love-filled day!
