Planning

If you're planning on having a tipi wedding, then there's nothing more useful than seeing these gorgeous structures in the flesh before your big day. To celebrate the launch of their new Bristol base, World Inspired Tents are holding an open weekend in September (22nd&23rd) so that you can view the tipis in all their glory, just like here for this pretty Spring inspired wedding shoot. The weekend will give you the opportunity to speak to their highly experienced team, work out how big a structure you'll need and how much furniture to hire, and you can look at those lovely extra special touches like lighting or a cosy fire pit. To register your interest please email the World Inspired Tents team. And for now, let's lose ourselves in this gorgeous tipi inspiration...

World Inspired Tents Wedding Showcase

When World Inspired Tents decided to put together a team to create a fantastic spring look to showcase their tipis at their best the key word was bright colour. Taking inspiration from bright watercolour floral paintings the stylists Knots & Kisses, Candlegreen and Meadowsweet Vintage came together to create some stunning areas and spaces within the tipis and some statement installations to show there is more to a tipi wedding than a few hay bales and a festival theme.

Styling A Tipi Wedding

The colour scheme was a mix of strong brights and pastels with pops of pinks, purples, cobalt blues and yellows accented by stationery with a watercolour feel and floral details. Flowers were incredibly important to the scheme to create that strong spring floral feel and florist Brompton Buds worked to create some really stunning pieces, including cascading flowers tumbling from a table, large floral urns, a table 'meadow' and a stunning floral arch which was finished with a watercolour fabric table plan from Knots & Kisses. For the evening reception a chill out area was created in one of the tipis with marshmallows toasted over the open fires, lots of cushions and atmospheric lanterns.

The Fashion

As part of the shoot, we wanted to create a real wedding feel with a happy bride, groom, a bridesmaid and some gorgeous dancing flower girls dancing around the tipis. The team from Days of Grace provided some stunning vintage dresses and accessories and teamed with beautiful hair and a strong makeup look to match the bright colour scheme, pops of colour were also added with vintage accessories. The groom’s outfit from Jonathan Hawkes kept things bright and colourful still with a tweed suit matched with a bright floral liberty print tie.

The Cake

A statement cake table from Edible Essence and swinging cake display also made a great centrepiece to the tipis, along with some fantastic rustic love letters.
