It’s been a long while since I’ve been on a web hunt for gorgeous bridesmaid and wedding guest wear so I thought I would make the effort and see what the world of on-line shopping had in store.
First stop was high street favourite for W-day Coast, a stunning selection of loveliness this season I must say, from short and cute bandeau styles to the long and luscious maxi.
So impressed was I with their array of Big Day beauties I didn’t actually venture anywhere else….well y’know what they say – “If it ‘ain’t broke….”

Having a Coast number for your special ladies come W-day?
Would love to know which ones – and also if anyone is taking their maids down the print or turquoise route ( have yet to witness a wedding with either and really really would love to!)

Students currently get 20% off. I took a friend with me to flash her card and saved a fortune. It goes down to 10% in a few weeks apparently
Funnily enough I was just in Coast on Saturday with my bridesmaids trying on lots of the numbers above! In the end we didn’t find anything that was perfect, but Coast is still a favourite. We eventually had success in Phase Eight – a goregous blue swishy number which they are all delighted with and then matching shoes to boot (they are all size 8, with size 5 feet…so easy!) xx
The birdsong dress is my bridesmaid’s dress!
Hi, absolutely love Coast, my bridesmaids will all be wearing the ‘Lilou’ dress at my wedding in the summer, a vibrant green/turquoise with some funky bright poppy-like flowers in pinks & purples! And so great as they are all different shapes and sizes, but the style is so flattering, they all look lovely in them x
Ooh I love the Harriet dress – I think I may spy a new contender for the ‘going away outfit’! OK it may be an old-fashioned idea but a girl can never have too many excuses for a new frock!
Im with Sarah, I love the Harriet drape dress!
I have already bought 2 outfits for my hen weekend but im thinking of returning 1 and buying the Harriet instead!
Then I could also use it the day after the wedding!
I love Coast! My sister tried their gorgeous Jacasta dress on in blue for the bridesmaid’s outfit but we’ve ended up choosing with a white, blue and purple flower printed dress, she looks fab!
Loving the Coast Love ladies – Gaynor you can never have too many dresses for your hen do! – so glad you like the Harriet, it is a beaut.
Soooo pleased so many of you have chosen prints too – make sure you send us in the pictures please!

I gave in, returned 1 dress and bought the Harriet one instead!
Although I have just been informed by my bridesmaids that the dress code for the first night of my hen weekend is black & purple so going to have to relegate the new dress to the sat night or my honeymoon instead – im sure I can find an excuse to wear it!
My wedding on 20th May is a registry office affair and my dress is so like the first one, but its a prom dress from Next – pleased to see these types of dresses on sites – it seems civil ceremonies often get forgotten about – any suggestions greatly appreciated.
