Loving You.
Chloe and Graham’s wedding is a D.I.Y Backgarden affair with some undeniably beautiful and well thought out touches.
Chloe’s dress is understated and simply perfect, the individual maids dresses are classy and, combined with the florals, provide the perfect balance between ‘elegant occasion’ and ‘PARTY TIME’.
I don’t want to give too much away before I hand you gorgeous lot over to Chloe for all the details… but I have to mention the poppy field. What a perfect backdrop for a set of couples shots that are big on love and big on drama.

Very Me
My dress was the Agapan, by Delphine Manivet. My friends all said it was very “me” and I probably decided it was the one I wanted when I first saw it online. I did however have a few doubts leading up to the wedding as I only had a few, quite rushed, dress appointments and had only tried the Agapan once. We live in Singapore but I wanted to get the dress from the UK so I made a flying visit in January and then came back to Singapore to mull it all over.

My first fitting wasn’t until 2 weeks before the wedding so it was a bit nerve-wracking but I love it and am so glad I went with my gut feeling. I am hoping I can wear it again (although of course not to be married again!)

A Last Minute Decision
My veil was a last minute addition (5 minutes before leaving the house) and was borrowed from a family friend.… View the full post.
Home Sweet Home.
Rock My Wedding readers Ange and Pat married in May at Pat’s parents home in Ivy Hatch.
In the garden stood giant tipi tents from Beautiful World Tents in place of the more traditional marquee.
This wedding has a beautiful subtle colour pallette of white and purple with a few other splashes thrown in for good measure. I was fascinated to read that their chosen florist grows all of the flowers and although commits to a colour scheme leaves actual variety choice until the last minute – so that you get the very best flowers that were in bloom on your big day. This adds a nice little element of surprise into the floral mix.
Photogrpahy today is from the truly fantastical (Excuse the man-crush) Phillip Allen – better known as Mister Phill.
You are in for a Tipi treat today folks.

Pretty Vintage Lace
My dress is from Mirror Mirror in Angel and the designer is Cymbeline. I went through numerous bridal stores trying to find the right dress, I had a picture in my mind of a pretty vintage style lace dress. When I tried this one at at Mirror Mirror I knew instantly and the reaction from my mother and brother confirmed it! I also customised the dress slightly by adding a different ribbon sash than what initially came with the dress. I bought the ribbon and Mirror Mirror where able to make the cute bow sash.

Something Blue
I decided to have flowers in my hair, which my lovely florist Jen put together to match the bouquet.… View the full post.
Faith Filled And Glorious.
…and then all of a sudden I was walking down the aisle. I say walking, I mean clinging on to Nick (legend of a friend) for dear life, heart-booming, knees knocking desperately trying to look composed. And then I arrived at Nick (the soon-to-be husband) and everything was silent and peaceful (which is strange as all our friends and family were belting out Oh Come All Ye Faithful!). And then Nicky (stick with me, this one’s the vicar) welcomed us, married us, advised, encouraged and teased us, prayed for us and blessed us. It was beautiful and poignant, faith-filled and glorious… then the ushers pelted me so hard with my home-made confetti, I thought I was going to fall over!
The rest is a blur of the people that we love, dressed in the colours that I love (oh yes, there was a dress code of “monochrome and metallic”), in the city that we love, celebrating…
I know it’s usually one of us from Rock My Wedding who leads into a real wedding, but those words from Calandre made for such a perfect introduction.
Nick and Calandre married on a sunny Saturday at St Augustine’s Church, South Kensington, London.
The reception took place at one of my favourite venues – The Royal Exchange. And to show this venue off to it’s full fashionable glory, Nick and Calandre employed the services of Ann-Kathrin Koch.
Now, back to Calandre…

An Old Family Friend
The Rev Nicky Lee married us. He’s an old family friend, the vicar at our church and he and his wife, Sila, were our marriage prep couple on the Marriage Course.… View the full post.
