Inspiration

Zambia played host to firstly, a beautiful bridal shower, and secondly a stunning bright Africa wedding. A delicious dessert table that will make your mouth water and a marquee reception draped in fairy lights. The bride chose a white dress with a pop of floral colour for the bridal shower and then for the big day, a simple but elegant cowell neck bridal gown that complimented the venue and decor. Not to mention the five-tier, hand-painted show stopper of a wedding cake!

What Made Our Day Unique

We had a lot of international guests. It was wonderful to have all of our loved ones together in beautiful Zambia and show them our rich, traditional culture with hints of British culture and decor. The cake made our day unique and until now we have never seen a cake as beautiful as our wedding cake. Also a known gospel artist Ephraim was paid to perform for a short period of time but he ended up performing for almost the entire time. He also took over the show and was in charge of all performing artists. Mind-blowing gesture.

Africa Wedding

The day joined together two cultures by bringing some British charm across to Zambia for this Africa wedding. The venue, The Horse Shoe, was the perfect venue to celebrate the combining of African traditions with an English country garden reception. The flowers took centre stage at the huge marquee reception, with large table displays and a floral chandelier that was surrounded by never-ending fairy lights.

Inspiration & Styling

Our special day was a mix of an African cultural celebration with hints of English charm. It was inspired by our love for this beautiful continent, our rich culture, and also our love of travel. For our wedding, the African spirit and fancy English garden party charm came to life. The breathtaking bridal shower was held at an exotic almost countryside touch venue. We had our wedding at a polo park, with the wedding cocktail in a beautiful Afrocentric touched restaurant called the Horse Shoe. Preceded by a wonderful wedding reception in a beautiful tent. A wedding to remember.

Advice

Yes! Engage a good wedding specialist and all will flow. For us, it was great having a wedding planner and designer with a lot of experience by our side. Mwai helped us through everything and she seriously eliminated so much stress so we could actually enjoy our engagement and wedding day. Additionally have timelines, this helps to keep everything in check and on track.
