Inspiration

Who would have thought a bridal face mask would become a thing, hey? Well, Arianna made it a thing, and we’re into it! Planning their micro-wedding in just 4 weeks, Arianna & Dan worked quickly to ensure they could say their I-do’s. Their party favours were handmade and customised hand sanitiser gels, complete with transferable vinyl names (amazing). We absolutely love their first look moment in a vintage limo too - it’s seriously giving us all the feels.

Bridal face mask wedding with handmade and customised hand sanitisers

My bridal face mask, which I only wore at our pub reception, was very popular with guests! We managed to have a loving and beautiful wedding day! Despite it not being our originally planned day, (and taking place during a pandemic).

HAND SANITISER

I was really pleased with how well-received my handmade customised hand sanitiser gel favours were! I bought some empty plastic bottles with carabiner clips and large bottles of hand sanitiser. Using my Cricut machine, I cut out transferrable vinyl names and embossed them on to each bottle. I was super proud when one of our guests (who is an A&E doctor and working with Covid patients) mentioned she kept hers on her work lanyard.

VIBE

Covid chic. Just kidding... sort of. We had a very low-key, intimate day, with a tiny touch of old Hollywood with the 1930s limousine. We didn't have the usual opportunity to go mad with styling, but we had the most beautiful day without any of that. I'd recommend that if you're unable to do much styling or decoration, find something else you can add to the day to make it feel unique and memorable. For us, the car was really special and made us feel like movie stars.

ADVICE

If you're planning a pandemic micro-wedding with restricted guests, most importantly I'd say: go for it! You can have an amazing day, where the focus is solely on you, your partner, and the love that you share. It may not be what you originally imagined or fantasised about, but it will still be magical, wonderful, and meaningful to you both. To make it happen, you will need to work fast and be flexible. It will be necessary around constantly shifting goalposts and restrictions.

Arianna & Dan cut their cake to an audience of friends and family via Zoom - incredible!

Having a first look in the car that we hired (a stunning Bramwith Landaulette vintage limo from the 1930s) – was a really special moment. Our photographer, Natalie, organised it really well. She took brilliant photos of the very special moment we first saw each other on our wedding day. Magic.
