Inspiration

We really can’t stop smiling at this Bristol Register Office wedding! A serious case of ‘Your Day, Your Way’. So, if you’re looking for a reason to shun tradition and make the day entirely your own, just look at Sophie & Oscar! With 25 of their nearest and dearest, this beautiful couple threw the norm out the window. As neither are both overly keen on being in the spotlight, they were ready to have a relaxed and simple day. With a few tinnies whilst waiting for their table, colourful outfits, and an unfussy vibe, they ended their day dancing in the pub! Of course, it was all perfectly captured by Recommended Supplier Charlie Britz Photography. Oh, and Oscar’s Paul Smith terracotta linen suit? A serious win.

Colourful Bristol Register Office wedding

We decided to keep our guest list super small with only 25 of us on the day including ourselves. This was really tricky to do but on the day meant that we had a really tight knit gang. Everyone could talk to everyone but we still had enough people to make it feel like a celebration. I think the fact that we had a smaller day meant that everyone felt relaxed and really enjoyed the day.

VIBE

Sophie & Oscar wanted a day filled with love, colour and fun. They asked their friends and family to wear whatever they felt comfortable in! As you can see, everyone really got into it! To sum up; there was minimal styling, home grown flowers dotted around the room in the pub, and heart shaped confetti cannons!

FAVOURITE MOMENT

Whilst waiting for their table, Sophie & Oscar spent a few moments outdoors with their wedding party in the sunshine. Being an incredibly chilled bunch, they grabbed a few beers from the corner shop and chilled outside whilst having a chat. As they said, not your average wedding day aperitif, but it worked for them, and we love it!

A moment to appreciate Bristol Register Office!? A stunning venue!

It's so easy to get swayed into doing something you don't want to do because it is expected of you or someone else thinks it's the best thing to do. Try as best as you can to stick to your guns and plan a day that is special to the two of you. Also make sure you take a moment with your partner on the day to just take it all in. There are so many stressful things to get sorted, people to talk to, it was lovely to take a few mins together to soak it all in.
