Inspiration
If you like blush weddings, then we know you will love this Didsbury House Hotel celebration. I don't think we need to point out what the colour theme was for the day, but just in case you missed it...pink! From the wedding stationery to the flower arch above the door that guests were greeted with as they arrived, blush tones littered the venue! The bride looked beautiful in a Halfpenny London - one of our handpicked suppliers - wedding dress with lace detail teamed with a fun crown and flanked by her blush bridesmaids who wore mid-length dresses. Later in the evening, the bridal party all donned personalised coverups with the bride choosing a white embellished jacket. Every detail had really been carefully considered, from the crockery to the eco-friendly wedding confetti from Shropshire Petals - another of our recommended suppliers - even the bride's socks matched the colour scheme with little gold stars!
What Mafe Our Day Unique
From the start we knew we wanted a small and intimate wedding surrounded by our close friends and family and after visiting Didsbury House we knew it was the venue for us, a luxury townhouse which ticked all our boxes. We hired Didsbury House exclusively allowing our wedding guests the option to stay over, giving it a real house party feel. We hired the garden at Eleven Didsbury Park for our wedding BBQ and speeches, really adding to the relaxed vibe we wanted for the day. This was only a few minutes’ walk down the road, and I loved the element of surprise it gave the guests wondering where they would end up heading to a secret garden, it also made the most stunning photos.
Didsbury House Hotel
As a designer, Kate knew exactly what she wanted and how to decorate Didsbury House Hotel. Blush tones and pops of gold created a romantic feel at the boutique venue where the couple made sure they had exclusive use, so guests could stay over if necessary. The BBQ and speeches were held down the road in the secret garden of Eleven Didsbury Park before guests then headed back to the small luxury townhouse venue to enjoy the evening meal, entertainment and great company.
Inspiration & Styling
I wanted to keep a soft romantic feel to the day with pink pastels and pops of gold. The designer in me kicked into action, starting with a mood board of inspirationcreating ‘the look’ helping to bring the wedding theme together. I took this to every meeting and added piece by piece until the day was created. Flowers were our main decor and from our very first meeting Sian at Didsbury Flower Lounge understood my entire vision. Producing the most stunning wedding flowers I have ever seen, not only this but they made our whole venue smell incredible too. From a floral arch welcoming our guests to scattered petals down the aisle, hanging flowers to the ceremony window, fireplace and staircase displays, and a floral design over the top table that took my breath away.
If you love a classic blush wedding as we do, then we know you will love this country wedding at Cripps Barn. With subtle pink tones and a macaron tower that you need to see!
