What Made Our Day Unique
Festival weddings are so popular but how many couples can say their love story began at one? Ross and I met by chance at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2010. We randomly tented next to each other then discovered we were from the same hometown and shared the same passion for music – it had to be fate! So, our wedding day had to reflect on us and our story – meaning festival vibes throughout! We used the actual festival programme as our guestbook and our friend designed the table plan and signs to match the front cover and colour scheme.
Inspiration & Styling
Wedfest! The ceremony was traditional but the outside grounds provided the perfect opportunity to create a festival feel. It was self-contained and there were areas for each element of the day. We sipped on Pimms within the gardens then ate a BBQ feast in the ‘wedfest’ styled marquee before the dancing started. My ‘dress’ was a carefree top and skirt – a beautiful lace top with a long flowy skirt. Ross’s outfit was inspired by his favourite musician. The colour scheme purple is formed by mixing our two colours – red for Ross’s Manchester United and blue for my Chelsea.
