Inspiration

As both the bride & groom work in London, Jake & Melissa wanted a rustic country wedding. From their flower table plan to Recommended Supplier venue, The Tithe Barn, it’s all your exposed brick and wooden beam dreams come true! With a beautiful bright colour scheme, traditional church ceremony, and stunning sunflowers, each aspect gives us all those Spring/Summer vibes. We're also loving the Welcome Board and Order Of The Day from Recommended Supplier, Little Wootten. Melissa took inspiration from Kelly Clarkson’s bridal bouquet, loving the bright colours against her white dress. And whilst we’re on the subject… Melissa’s Pronovias wedding dress? Oh. Em. Gee. LOVE. Of course, Recommended Supplier, Luna + Love Photography was on hand to capture each incredible moment, alongside Entertainment Nation providing all those good vibes!

Flower table plan for rustic wedding

We felt the setting of the Tithe Barn overlooking Bolton Abbey was really unique. Going from a traditional church ceremony in the heart of Skipton to the secluded, yet glamorous Tithe Barn was the contrast we wanted. Bringing our family and friends from abroad and London to this type of venue was a real treat. It really is a hidden gem in North Yorkshire.

FLOWER TABLE PLAN & STYLING

Their vibe was a rustic and relaxed style, with bright florals - a beautiful contrast against the wood of Tithe Barn. Sunflowers were the focal feature of the floral arrangements and were complimented with pinks, purples, blues, and greens. Melissa & Jake even had a ‘living board’ table plan which was completely decorated in their flower theme. The inspiration was to be in keeping with the stunning surrounding areas, alongside the couple's own personal styling.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Finding a photographer who makes you feel comfortable is so important. Thankfully, Melissa & Jake found Love + Luna photography, who absolutely made their day! Not only are their pictures stunning, but she was able to ensure they didn’t feel awkward when taking those all-important couples portraits. It can be something most people aren’t exactly looking forward to (we get it). But, the right photographer will capture those moments you don’t want to miss.

Aren’t those red bridesmaid dresses so vibrant and gorgeous?

Of course, seeing each other for the first time as I walked down the aisle was a very special moment. But entering the reception venue to be greeted by all our friends and family with a glass of fizz in their hands is a moment we will never forget. We had also not seen the Barn decorated until that point. It was such a nice surprise even though we had both imagined it for so long. It was even more stunning in real life!
