This beautiful wedding is all your rustic dreams come true; complete with a screen table plan, pampas grass, olive trees and a breathtaking view. Pénélope & Sebastiaan knew Le Domaine du Rey was the place for them as soon as they saw it; an 18th Century family house filled with plenty of history and charm. Their day was planned and styled by Cigales Petits Fours with deep green foliage, a hint of gold from the cutlery, and pillar candles, all surrounding the marquee in which their reception was held. We absolutely love how effortlessly chic and natural their day looks! We also love a DIY project, which is why we can’t get enough of that screen table plan…
Inspiration & Styling
The vibe was full of joy & love. The venue and all the decor made it like magic. The inspiration came from the venue. We originally wanted to have something tropical, because we love travelling. But because of where we were, we went with a more chic style, featuring greens, whites, with some golden touches. This venue was our ‘coup de coeur’.
Screen Table Plan
We love something a little different, and so we’re loving this screen table plan! It completely fits the vibe of Pénélope & Sebastiaan’s styling. When planning your wedding, it’s a fantastic idea to look at things you can upcycle to include within your day. This is also a great way to save a little money and ensure you’re using something more than once. So, if you’re a little bit creative, and fancy scouring Pinterest for a little while, you’ll be sure to find something you can do!
What Made Our Day Unique
We met Karine and Marie - Cigales and Petits Fours - our fairies. They showed us different places, including 'the one' of our dreams: Le Domaine du Rey. The olive trees, the breathtaking view, the charm of this building, the butterflies everywhere. It was while going down in the olive grove when two superb butterflies fluttered around us, a very strong symbol for us, they embodied the Father of Sebastiaan, who left us, and my Grandma. We knew immediately that it was was where we wanted to be.
