Inspiration

We absolutely love an all white colour scheme here at RMW HQ and a fabulous marquee reception is the perfect (white) blank canvas. The fact that it was surround by the stunning venue and grounds of Buckhurst Park just adds to the charm of this classic country wedding. We also love it when a Bride falls completely in love with her gown and the name is a sign it must be the one! With so many more sentimental touches and references to special times and loved ones, prepared to be wowed....

Sentiment

Jenni The Bride: We really wanted our day to reflect what was important to us and to be as fun and love filled as possible. Sadly my Dad died a few years ago and Mike lost his Grandad earlier in the year so we had a poem and a flower arrangement which included forget-me-nots. We had a pick’ n mix table as I am an absolute sweet-aholic! Michael is a West-Ham fan so we had bubbles blowing during the drinks reception and bubbles for the children during the day.

Brides Gown

My dress was a beautiful Angelica Bridal gown called 'Angel'. We meet in Angel so when I found the dress I loved in a fabulous shop just around the corner from where we first met, it felt like a sign that this was THE dress.

VeilFlorist

We used a family friend Ruth Garrod who grows all her own flowers at a local farm.

Venue

We got married at Withyham Church and had our Reception at Buckhurst Park just around the corner in the same village. We both wanted a church wedding so when we stumbled across the beautiful village of Withyham, just 15 minutes from where Michael grew up, we instantly loved the beautiful views and amazing house at Buckhusrt Park.

Decor/styling

We went for very neutral and natural décor (less is more). The main theme was white and having the reception in a Marquee gave the white colour scheme a head start. Our flowers were all white and the flower centre pieces were in jam jars and with scattered tea lights on the tables.

Cake Maker

We used a local lady based in Tunbridge-wells called Mary’s Cake Parlour to make our cake. We wanted a very plain cake with fresh untreated flowers on it to match the centre pieces and bouquets. We had three tears – two fruit cake and one chocolate.

Caterer

Our caterers were the fantastic Tandam Catering based in Sevenoaks. Sara Hester was so lovely to work with and her food was most delicious, we were in-undated with compliments on the food. We decided to go for lamb as the main, as it was a spring wedding. We had crab to start as it is both of our favourites. Our desert was a trio, Lemon tart, Chocolate mousse in a cup and berries – hopefully a little something for everyone.

Bridesmaids Dresses

The bridesmaid dresses were a last minute change of heart (and colour). They were from ASOS. My Sister-in-law lives in LA so it meant she could order from the American site and try it on!

Wedding Party

We had a huge Wedding party - 6 Ushers and a Best Man!! Best Man – Nick Smith Ushers: Seb, Kev, Adam, Poss, Nic, Stuart (Mikes friends from school). 7 Bridesmaids: My two Sisters Nikki and Zoe and Mike’s Sister Emily, as well as Rosie, Sam Anna and Katie (my friends from school).

Stationery

We made our name places spraying wooden hearts white and writing the guests names on them. We tied them using twine to pink ribbon and wrapped them around the napkins. The table plan I created myself and included two love birds (Robins). When we see a Robin we say that it is my Dad looking down on us. We added some sparkle to the menu’s with a silver glitter strip and included our favourite phrase “Love Love Laugh”

Entertainment

We had a DJ during the evening who kept the dance floor full all night long.

Transport

I arrived in a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud car (my Dad always used to take me to the Rolls Royce shop in South Kensington as I loved them so much!), I just wish he could have seen me in it.

Photographer

Tracey Hosey is an amazing natural wedding photographer based in London. She was brilliant to have around during the day, she was so friendly and fun. She made us feel totally at ease and got some fantastic shots of the day. We are absolutely delighted with the photo’s.
