Lake District Elopement with Boho Bride in Crochet Wedding Dress

Social distancing is forcing a lot of couples to rethink their wedding plans (if you need help rescheduling your wedding, check out our step by step guide to postponing, which we’re constantly updating.) We’re currently on day 4 of our 21 day lockdown, and we have not received confirmation as to when we will be able to host large celebrations. Once the lockdown has been lifted an intimate wedding such as an elopement could be the answer followed by a huge celebration at a later date. Your Event Co. and her wonderful team of suppliers have shown us how to have an intimate Lake District elopement, bringing all your personality with you. Hey there crochet wedding dress and dusky pink jacket.

VISION

This Lake District elopement was designed to inspire couples to be free and alternative, run away from the wedding traditions, just jump in your camper and get married in a place where you feel most alive! The style to be relaxed boho feel, at home with natural…nothing overthought.

FASHION

“Our bride was dressed in ivory lace separates, made from crochet corded lace to provide the contemporary boho feel. Together with an oversized bouquet and matching floral crown. The florals were loose and informal with muted bleached tones and a mix of fresh and dried flowers to keep to the natural winter vibe. To complement the colour theme the groom wore a peachy suit with simply a t-shirt underneath.” – Nikki Gray

The scenery at this Lake District elopment is truly breathtaking. They have made for the prettiest portraits captured by Nikki’s Moments Photo & Film. Just stunning, views, a stunning couple and their undeniable love for each other.

STYLING & DECOR

“For the reception we opted for a relaxed chill out area with music by the side of the couples camper. We included florals on the tambourine as a quirky take on the modern floral hoop. In addition to boho seating…we set up a colourful eye catching vegan grazing table with a range of plant-based food which went down a treat!
