A Cotswold wedding that felt more like a Californian festival dream with the summer sun, outdoor drinks, airstream photo booth and cinematic light box sign. The couple wanted everything to represent them, so they had their favorite quotes scattered around on pegboards, a tribute to their beloved pet cat and their favourite games including beer pong! A glitter bar and glow sticks were on hand to bring a little sparkle to the day and of course, no festival is complete without live music with a guest performance from the groom himself, who played his bride's favourite song on the drums!
What Made Our Day Unique
It was a fun, relaxed day that we felt was very 'us'. We didn't do everything the traditional way and injected alot of our favourite things to make it more personal - we had games of beer pong, glow sticks, a glitter bar in the evening, a photobooth airstream filled with props and a live band for a bit of a festival feel. Alot of the day was personalised, from our custom wedding pennants to Dan playing my favoruite song on the drums with the band in the evening. We asked guests to nominate a song each to add to the playlists we created so it felt more personal and collborative. We made alot of the decor and styling pieces ourselves from things we sourced or made and the room was filled with our favourite photos, quotes and even a tribute to our beloved cat :)
Light Box Sign
This couple had thought of every detail to make sure the day was perfect and personalised to them. With a shared love of film they used a cinema light box sign and pegboards to display quotes, notices and the wedding breakfast seating plan. The couple even had some personalised pennants made especially for them - which will make a great keepsake! The bride chose a boho inspired beautiful two-piece with a lace detail top and satin skirt which she teamed with a stunning wildflower bouquet and bridal crown, later adding a personalised denim jacket cover-up!Inspiration & Styling
Laid back, fun festival vibe! It was such a sunny day that everyone was enjoying drinks outside with their sunglasses on and the Airstream photobooth made it feel like we were in California! We decided early on we wanted music to be a big part of the day as it's our shared passion. We also love film and used cinema light up signs & pegboards to display quotes, notices & our seating plan. These vintage inspired signs went well with the industrial, rustic feel of Stone Barn which was already stunning. We added vintage crates with lots of foliage and created photo displays from old pallets. The foliage wheel in the Dutch Barn where we had our ceremony was the showstopper piece, from this we used this idea to just have simple folaige runners on the dining tables. The bouquets were wild and assymetrical to go with the boho feel of my dress and the reds and pinks tied in with the colours running through the tweed suits and the bridemaid dresses. We used New Zealand as a reference for our table plans - each were named after placed we visited!
Stone Barn was the perfect backdrop for this stunning celebration. The barn is a beautiful venue set in the heart of the Cotswolds with views of unspoilt scenery and filled with traditional features - they are also one of our handpicked suppliers!
