Morden Hall Fusion Wedding

Photography by Beatrici Photography

It's clear to see from Rachel and Alex's joy-filled faces they had the most incredible celebration at Morden Hall wedding venue. They incorporated their English, Jamaican and Irish heritage's, by eating Jerk chicken and drinking gin. They also danced to reggae, RnB, hip hop and garage and looked fierce as hell. Hello, custom made Emma Beaumont wedding dress with puff sleeves and front split.

What Made Your Day Unique

We wanted something fun, informal and reflected the things we liked. Whether that was walking down the aisle to Bob Marley or our 90s/00s RnB, Hip Hop and Garage set in the evening! We tried to incorporate a fusion of the worlds that made us, both English, Jamaican and Irish. We kept everything quite relaxed with lawn games (cricket worked well!), buckets of help ‘yourself beers’ and an open gin bar in the evening. We catered for plant-based guests (like us) and had some jerk chicken for evening food.

Morden Hall Wedding

Just five minutes from a South London underground station is Morden Hall wedding venue. An 18th-century house surrounded by picturesque gardens making you feel like you are in the countryside. Alline Beatrici Photography explores the grounds with Rachel and Alex and captures some of the happiest bride and groom portraits we've ever seen. Rachel's joy and smile is infectious.

Inspiration & Styling

It was just relaxed, we wanted it to be a big party with no formal elements that were done just for the sake of it. A lot of our guests had travelled far. So it was a weekend away for them. In seeing Morden Hall most of its features really spoke for themselves, so we really didn’t want to do too much, other than highlight these. We had a fun botanical theme, with beautiful flowers from Grace and Thorn & homemade terrariums as our centrepieces with candles. We wanted to remind people of the good times, so each guest had a mini polaroid picture as there name card and a keepsake. In the evening the dance floor became the place to be, with a mix of Motown, RnB and garage keeping the celebrations and partying going.
