I mean, wow. The views, the décor, the DRESS? Saskia and Ivan's Tuscany wedding is the epitome of picturesque. Effortlessly chic yet totally organic. They used the natural beauty of the Italian countryside to complement their location, creating an olive bouquet from surrounding trees. A small and intimate wedding, they wanted to bring together their family and friends from around the globe to celebrate in their favourite location: the olive groves of Tuscany.

Italy has always had a special place in our hearts! Ivan is Italian (born and raised in Switzerland) and I, Saskia (native German but completely Tuscan by heart), studied fashion design in Florence, one of the most amazing and unforgettable times of my life. The moment Ivan popped the question we just knew our wedding had to be in Italy!
VIBE
We always knew we wanted a casual wedding, completely stress-free for everyone. We were so thankful that our loved ones came all the way to Tuscany to spend those days with us, that we wanted them to enjoy "dolce far niente" to the fullest! No stress - just amazing food, great wine and even greater company!
STYLING
For us olive trees represent Tuscany, as we wanted to be as sustainable as possible we decided to skip flowers - except for some dahlias in my bouquet - and go completely green. To pay tribute to my design background, a little glam was obligatory. We added some golden accents for decoration and stationery.
FINDING THE DRESS
Being a plus size bride and a fashion designer I was a bit worried about finding my dress. Usually the plus size styles are not the fashionable ones but I refused to pick something just because it did fit. Then I found an amazing bridal store, "I AM YOURS"! Oh my, I cannot describe how grateful I am!
Saskia's olive bouquet was not only unique, but personal. She wanted to show off her love of all things Tuscany!
Every little detail we had planned over the last 18 months just came together in this amazing scenery. Seeing all of our loved ones there, laughing, chatting and singing along old Italian classic songs we had chosen for the aperitivo and dinner, it just melted our hearts!
