We're HUGE fans of Marcos Sánchez's work here at Rock My towers so it's an absolute treat to be able to share this stunning Spanish wedding with you all today. Bride and Groom Pati & Tom came all the way from Australia to Spain for their wedding. They chose the gorgeous Can Valldaura as their venue, a beautiful house in the mountains near Barcelona. They were expecting an outdoors wedding, enjoying the views and the sun, but the day rose cloudy and rainy. Luckily the house was charming enough to make for a wonderful indoor wedding, and the atmosphere of the day led to a moody, intimate, cosy day, with stunning results. The minimalistic flowers are wonderful, the festoon lights magical and the family portraits will make your heart swell, and I'm certain the fact that this gorgeous couple didn't get to celebrate outside didn't matter to them one iota, as everything was pure perfection.

Pati the Bride: We chose Marcos because of his photojournalistic style, his calm, positive nature and the way he worked in tandem with our videographer Monika. They were our dynamic duo; everywhere at all times. Marcos' images from our big day are nothing short of incredible. We are thrilled.

We chose Monika because of her warm, Charming personality and the way she sees each video as a self contained story told through her incredible vision. She made us feel so positive about our wedding; that we didn't have to take it too seriously, that we could be ourselves and enjoy every moment. We weren't looking for a standard video; we wanted someone to come in with their own ideas, vision and style to interpret our wedding in their own way. We're so excited to see what Monika comes up with.

Brides Gown

Nevenka is an Eastern European fashion boutique in Melbourne specialised in ready to wear and custom made garments. I chose Nevenka for the connection it has between Australia (Melbourne) and Europe as well as the stunning fabrics and hand crafted work. Rosemary Masic, owner and designer, did an amazing job understanding what I was looking for and creating a unique custom made dress which breathes personality and femininity. I am in love with it.

I was keen to support local art and design, so decided to work with Natalie who designed and crafted our wedding bands and a fine and delicate bespoke engagement ring with a parti sapphire that symbolises my connection to the sea throughout my personal experiences across Barcelona, Solomon Islands, Melbourne and Sydney.

We chose Estudio Sauvage because we find their work organic, natural and at the same time sassy and adventurous. We love their work.

We chose Can Valldaura because of its history which you can feel in every corner of the house. It's a beautiful location overlooking Barcelona and it's industrial yet rural and at the same time has a modern vibe. If the walls of this spectacular house could talk...

We did not want to have a wedding cake, as it was not something meaningful to us but what we knew is that we wanted to support local artisans in Barcelona, so Miquel Coulibaly aka Bizcochoman created the most delicious chocolate bites for the night. They were specially made to complement our dessert choice - PAVLOVA!

Wedding Planner Maria and Angela from xCollage Studio were incredible partners, friends and sources of much happiness and laughter for us through the entire process of planning our wedding, until the very last moments of the night (& morning...). Their design style brought such a positive style to the little details. Nothing was too difficult, they were thorough and thoughtful with their research, ideas. They helped us design some small little touches - like some take-away Hola/G'day messages and traditional recipes for guests, and even some very helpful (and much used!) anti-hangover packs in the bathrooms. They were amazing and we really miss having Angela and Maria as part of our little team!

Wine and Cava

It was important for us to share the outstanding wines and Cava from Codorniu given that we have a special connection through Pati's best friend Marc, who is part of a family of winemakers whose history starts back to 1551.
