Inspiration

We’re unsure whether anything could look as stunning as this bride & groom, but Pentney Abbey is doing its very best! To be quite honest, we’re still in shock that we’re looking at a real wedding and not an editorial. Kirsty & Joseph spent a lot of time researching their suppliers. Wanting to find people who had dressed the venue before and would be open to new ideas. With a smart, traditional vibe and Christian wedding ceremony, their day gives us all those warm Autumnal colours transitioning into winter. Of course, we need a moment to appreciate our bride Kirsty. Her chic Sassi Holford wedding dress and incredible hair styling are seriously stealing the show, and we can’t get enough. The intricate braiding and use of on-trend pearl hair accessories is a look we won't be forgetting in a hurry.

Our was just a beautiful mix of tradition and modern with a few personal touches to reference us as people and our journey.

PENTNEY ABBEY & SUPPLIERS

Finding suppliers who have worked within a venue before is always a fantastic idea. Kirsty & Joseph opted for local businesses and found two family-run businesses in both their decor hire and florist. In regards to their photographer and videographer, they wanted to find someone who had photographed all types of ethnic backgrounds or was also from an ethnic minority group themselves. That way they knew everyone at their wedding would be photographed correctly!

FAVOURITE MOMENT

Kirsty & Joseph were married and blessed by their good friend, Bishop Rob, in a stunning ceremony. But a moment they will never forget is entering the wedding breakfast to a song of their choice and giving their guests a show they didn’t know was coming. This allowed everyone to have a dance and some fun which really helped set the tone of the relaxed feeling they wanted throughout dinner. We love an unexpected moment!

We love Kirsty & Joseph’s ladder seating plan!

Do what you want to do! It’s great to consider what your guest may want and enjoy whilst you’re planning. But at the end of the day, it’s about you and your partner.

Pentney Abbey is such a beautifully rustic and traditional venue. We absolutely love the dried floral arrangements and modern touches throughout this gorgeous day, which really enhance the entire look! Of course, Kirsty’s bridal look will continue to live in our heads rent-free…
