Rebecca The Bride: When we thought about our wedding the most important thing was to have our families involved. We wanted it to be like a big family dinner so we chose to have it at the Ben's family home in the garden. The church we got married in is the family church as well and the vicar went to the same school as Ben. We knew the florist and
caterers well from the village. The DJ is our brother in law and the car we used for the weekend was our aunt's stag. It very much was a family affair. We wanted to be able to do so much ourselves and feel like we had put our stamp on it and not have the expected wedding.
I sourced the save the dates from California,
Pounding Mill Press, who incorporated our logo we had designed for our invites. We painted our own names places and table numbers, I looked for vintage pieces as well so they would be unique.
Each element was thought through so carefully. For the marquee we wanted it to feel open and spacious so we had trees brought in, we used a traditional canvas marquee as well as they are so elegant. Instead of a cake we had a selection of little puddings for dessert and instead of a gift list we had an art fund set up so we could procure a piece that we would really be able to remember the day and everyone that was part of it.
Our photographer was
Isabel Maria and words can hardly describe how over the moon we are with the photos. It was such an incredible day, everything was perfect and everyone had such an amazing time.
