Not only is Simi’s small dried flower bouquet better for the environment, it’s also beautiful! We just love this intimate wedding at the Chelsea Old Town Hall - giving us such classic and elegant vibes. Initially planning an elopement in New York, Simi & Savi were pushed into a change of plans due to the pandemic, and so they replicated their initial idea… within London! Can we take a moment to appreciate the beautiful botanical vibes at their reception? Those vibrant florals are just everything. Oh, and Simi’s dress was a last minute Etsy decision… erm, if only all last minute decisions looked that good. Wow! We initially were all set to elope in NYC, but due to travel corridors shutting we couldn't go ahead with that plan. So, we replicated the same idea… just in London!
WEDDING DRESS
My wedding dress was a last minute.com job. I had tried on quite a few dresses, but nothing really stuck. I had this idea in my head of what I wanted. However, nothing I had seen or tried reflected that. One day, I was scrolling through Etsy and found PionDress. The pieces were stunning, and my own dress was a bespoke version of one of their styles. It was quite a risk ordering something which I had never tried on from an online store. The dress arrived 1.5 weeks before the wedding and it fit like a dream!
SUPPLIERS
We found most of our suppliers through word of mouth or research. For example, we had first picked another wedding cake supplier, then saw the reviews for Cutter And Squidge, so we knew we had to order our cake from them! Some of our suppliers were happy accidents, for example, I only found Vivi Embellish for my bridal hairpieces once I had my bridal hair trial.
When your grooms buttonhole is a mini version of your bridal bouquet… we are obsessed!
Do not stress! Easier said than done, I know. But honestly, the stress of arranging a wedding almost took the fun out of everything. Also, get friends and family involved in the planning process, it really helps.
