If you’re looking for vibrancy, sun, and a beautiful day, then look no further than Priya & Manny’s Sri Lankan wedding. Incorporating a combination of cultural elements into their special day, the lead up to this gorgeous couples wedding included a Mehndi, Haldi, and Sangeet night! We are just obsessing over how full of light and laughter everything looks. Oh, and it helps that the bride & groom look outrageously stylish in their outfits. In fact, we’re seriously struggling to pick a fave! So, if you need us, we’ll just be here, staring at the pictures until it’s home time…
Sri Lankan wedding with vibrant decor and fusion of cultural elements
It was a big day getting married to each other 3 times in different cultures and traditions. SO beautiful & unique. It was wonderful having multiple days of events to keep the party going.
VENUE
We chose Gabbinbar Homestead as the wedding venue because it stood out like no other venue. The entire venue was ours for the day, completely private. We could also have our ceremonies in different areas of the Homestead, truly utilising the whole space. Not to mention how accommodating Gabbinbar were to the unique aspects of our day, including creating a customised menu for us! We could not get over how gorgeous the place was. The service was incredible throughout the planning process, as well on the day!
FAVOURITE MOMENT
My favourite moment was the short time we had together. Outside under the fairy lit trees in the Gabbinbar gardens, just the two of us. It felt like the day was going by so fast, it was nice to take a step back and enjoy a moment together. Letting the fact that we were FINALLY married sink in. Manny’s favourite moment was saying our personally written vows to each other during the civil service. It was daunting to say such personal and emotional words in front of everyone, but it was such a special, sentimental and moving moment.

Our wedding was a colourful, emotional and spectacular multi-day extravaganza that highlighted our different cultural backgrounds, strong sense of family and love for each other! Inspiration for our styling choices were sourced from a combination of Instagram wedding accounts and previous weddings we have attended.
