A gorgeous glasshouse wedding in the Devonshire countryside where the bride looked elegant in a Suzanne Neville wedding dress. Wanting a traditional wedding with a difference, the church ceremony was followed by a reception at the beautiful Anran wedding venue, with botanical decor and stunning views, it was the perfect backdrop for this couple to celebrate the start of their new chapter. Emotional speeches and DIY decor made this day extremely personal, from the homemade limoncello favours to the wedding newspaper that their bridesmaids and groomsmen made. There were rustic vibes and a floral theme running throughout, with the printed bridesmaid dresses, vintage glass bottles littered over the banquet tables filled with wildflowers and a Lily of the Valley bridal bouquet! And all this was captured by the amazing Jason Mark Harris Photography, who is one of our handpicked suppliers!
WHAT MADE OUR DAY UNIQUE
"Having our wedding in the hidden treasure known as ANRAN, in the middle of the gorgeous Devonshire countryside was truly magical. We wanted a wedding that brought our family and friends together and was that little bit different from the norm - Anran definitely helped us achieve that. With the sun shining down on us all weekend, a relaxed and happy vibe was effortlessly created and set the tone for the incredible day which was ahead of us! We wanted the wedding to be unique and represent who we were as a couple - having such a great wedding party around us, definitely helped in achieving this. From the parents offering help and support to the 10 Bridesmaids and 5 Groomsmen creating a personalised newspaper which included interviews with the parents, lots of embarrassing photos and a summary of the wild hen and stag dos (i say no more)! We cannot forget the INCREDIBLE speeches from the father of the bride, maid of honour, best man and groom - they had everyone in laughter & happy tears" - Gemma & Charlie
The bride went dress shopping thinking a boho lace dress was what she would be looking for that she would pair with a flower crown, however, once she tried on this Suzanne Neville wedding dress she knew this was the one! Although it is very different from what she originally envisioned she would be wearing, it couldn't have looked more perfect. A very elegant bride flanked by her 10 pretty bridesmaids all wearing floral patterned bridesmaid dresses!
INSPIRATION & STYLING
"As soon as we saw the rustic glasshouse hidden behind huge wooden doors at Anran, we knew that this was going to be the vibe for the wedding - rustic, pretty, chilled and fun! Walking into the glasshouse took our breaths away and represented who we were as a couple, it would only make sense that this would be the inspiration behind the styling! Everything from the floral printed bridesmaid dress, the lily of the valley bouquet, the vintage glass bottles filled with wildflowers scattered across the rustic wooden tables to the homemade limoncello shots, which the guests may have enjoyed a little too much! Music played a key part in keeping the day flowing, from the guitarist in the church getting everyone to sing-a-long to ‘Runaway’ by Corrs (the song Charlie proposed to me to), walking into the glasshouse to ‘2 become 1’ by The Spice Girls, dancing into the night away to classic Motown tunes and finishing the night with a DJ set from the Brother-in-law - IT WAS FAB!!" - Gemma & Charlie
