The Essence of Provence

It's no secret that at RMW we are big lovers of the South of France. The dreamy scenery, the soft colour palette, the olive trees & Provençal stone farmhouses...there is just something inherently romantic about it. We're also big fans of Roost Film Co, talented members of our List - Jordan and Tegan are videographers who create wedding films that are nothing short of cinematic. Then you throw in styling from Lisa at Isla and Smith, super stylish wedding planner for Europe's loveliest weddings, and the result is just gorgeous. So when the three came together, we knew that this shoot was going to be special. It's a match made in wedding inspiration shoot heaven, you can practically smell the lavender and hear the soft hum of bees. We were already fans of Mas de la Rose, the stunning venue for the shoot, having featured lots of gorgeous weddings from there over the years, but these images have reminded us how much we love a minimal bride look - barely there make up, natural hair and just letting the dress do the talking. It's just so French, and trust me, those ladies have some serious style. As do Roost Film Co and so it's a real treat to share the stills and video with you all this afternoon. If you need me I'll be packing for a sneaky trip to Provence...

Beautiful Provence

The essence of Provence and its coveted natural beauty seeps through to your very core as soon as you arrive in the stunning french countryside. Meandering through picture perfect hamlets, it's hard to believe that the vista hasn't been painted before your very eyes, especially upon discovering Domaine Mas de la Rose, a heaven so perfect in its simplicity, you breathe a heavy sigh, deeply relaxed by the sprawling grounds, crystal clear pool and beautiful wild flowers swaying in the breeze. It is this lingering feeling that we wanted to capture, focusing on the abundant spring blossoms starting to open in everywhere we looked. With Claire Pettibone's exquisite lace detailing, our bride's french nonchalance and the delicate spring landscape of Provence, our story was born.
