Kenny & Daniel were married at the Timberyard Edinburgh on a slightly rainy day. Falling for an intimate wedding with close friends and family, they wanted the vibe to be casual and comfortable - just how they would host in their own home! They were married in the courtyard, followed by a traditional tea ceremony. In-keeping with their style of simplicity, the Timberyard Edinburgh provided the perfect space. Their wedding of 65 guests also enabled Kenny & Daniel to speak to everyone throughout the day, taking away that element of stress you may feel when attempting to do the social rounds!

What Made Our Day Unique

We wanted a small wedding with just family and close friends. Food and wine were an important factor for us! We wanted to have a very relaxed and intimate feel of the day without the usual wedding ‘must-haves’.

Timberyard Edinburgh

Timberyard Edinburgh is a family-run restaurant and authentic warehouse dating back to the 19th century, (when it was originally built as a props & costume store - we love a little history!) It was recommended to Kenny & Daniel by their local architect, and one Saturday they found themselves there having lunch - they then decided it was the perfect space for their wedding! Having their ceremony and dining all in one setting allowed them to truly enjoy and appreciate their day.

Inspiration & Styling

We decided to keep it very simple and rustic. My niece helped me in making 1,000 stringed paper cranes that were used to decorate the venue - they were hung on branches and above the dining tables.
