We chose to have a wedding gift list as we wanted to make sure our guests felt confident they were gifting something they knew we liked and wanted! We had spoken to so many friends who got married and received gifts that have remained in the box or even returned because of duplicates or because it was something they already owned. By having a gift list, we felt people could choose something we actually wanted and it took the pressure of choosing off them!

The wedding shop was brilliant from start to finish! It was really easy to use, set up and share with guests. Picking all the gift ideas was really fun and the collections they put together were also really helpful in selecting gifts that worked together as well! Also, a special mention has to go to the customer service team who have been honestly the best I have ever dealt with. They kept us up to date on everything and have been brilliant!

We thought it felt a bit selfish to have a gift list and maybe put pressure on people to get us something. One of our parents then said, “It’s your wedding and people are going to want to buy you a gift, so having a gift list allows them to get you something you want.” When we thought about it like that, we realised it’s a helpful thing to have and it ensured we had gifts of all prices, which The Wedding Shop is brilliant for! If you want to spend a fiver on a gift or five hundred, you can! It’s important to make sure your list is inclusive of all budgets.
