How We Chose Our Suppliers

We were keen to be married somewhere around Edinburgh or St Andrews, having written our history together in both places. The location of Myres Castle was perfect. Most of our guests stayed in St Andrews and it felt right to be starting our next chapter just along the road from where it had all begun 13 years earlier. Our photographer, Sarah-Jane Ethan, was recommended to us by a friend and we knew the moment we looked at her photos that she was a perfect match for us; we loved her light, happy and informal style. She was a dream to work with and captured the day so well, including all the laughter and spirit.

Inspiration Behind The Styling

So much credit goes to the amazing Kate and Jean from Little White Cow for bringing our styling to life. Kate turned my messy Pinterest boards into the perfect backdrop for the whole day, from a copper arch and paper lanterns to beautiful greenery and signage. And when she suggested wallpapering the barnquee with awesome botanical prints we were certain we’d made a great choice! This was all complemented by the talents of Cath from Blue Poppy Florist who did a wonderful job with the flowers. The floral arch at the entrance to the barnquee was one of my favourite things from the whole day, and I’m still dreaming of the giant urns bursting with beautiful blues, whites and greens.
