Step into Alex & David's vintage-vibe wedding at The Bake Barn on the Fonthill Estate featuring DIY styling, William Morris details, homegrown florals and family-made touches.

I spent hours making aprons, lampshades, cushions covers and upholstered footstools in coordinating fabrics to match our stationery and floral colour scheme. David created signage around the venue, bar token, drinks coasters, and even patterned socks to make our wedding pattern. I also have an irrational hatred of wedding speeches being read from either a phone or crumpled piece of paper, so I made folders out of matching William Morris wallpaper for everyone to use and hide their plain white paper.
When we then got to top of the aisle and stopped to turn and face each other, I noticed that David's flowers were askew and the florist in me couldn't help but reach over and reposition them. I'd spent too long creating the florals to let these ones slip as I knew how many photos they would be in.
The Rock My Wedding Instagram feed has been something I've subscribed to for over 10 years since I first started out in weddings and has always been my go to reference point for inspiration because although there is such a huge range of weddings, each one is done with such style and attention.
