FAQS
How do you approach wedding photography?
I get involved, submerge into your day, almost become a guest, I'd rather not take up your time trying to line everyone up for group shots, I know we have to do a few, but I'm at my best when left to roam free. To capture things naturally, as they happen. My aim is to tell your story with as little directing as possible, to capture those laughs, the crying, the intimacy as it happens. And not just of you, but your guests as well.
How long do we wait for the photos?
Editing does take time, within the first week i will deliver a 'short story', usually 30-40 images, to share with friends, while i work on getting the 'full story' edited to the highest level i can. This can take up to four weeks.
Do you travel?
In short, i'll go anywhere, i have shot all over Europe, parts of Asia, States and South Africa... have passport will travel... love a good road trip too.
How many images will we get from our day?
While i cannot give an exact number, i can tell you a full day seems to average between 400-500 images. If it looks fab you can bet i'll be getting it captured, from the flowers to the cake to a pair of shoes lying under the table... While my website does not show everything, rest assured the Story i send you will be complete, edited and ready to print.
We may be slightly awkward in front of the camera, is that a problem?
Do not stress, it is quite normal . I do hear this often in fact. I work in a style that will set you at ease, no need to fell pressured. Preferably i like to capture moments as they happening organically, so feel free to pretend i am not there! If in deed you'd like something a little more formal, i am well up for playing the class clown and settling any nerves.
