Professional, Intimate, Natural My wife and I hired Dan to photograph our wedding in Sherborne in June 2022. We were looking for a candid-style photographer who had a modern feel and very high quality work. That's exactly what Dan gave us! We searched for photographers in Dorset, and even though he's based in the Midlands, we saw his work and knew we had to have him. Thankfully he does not charge for mileage, so I recommend booking him even if he's not in your area. From our initial phone call he seemed super laid-back yet professional, and he fit with our vibe perfectly. We wanted our wedding to feel intimate even though we had 120 guests, but most of all we wanted it to feel whimsical and effortlessly fun for everyone. Dan helped us feel at ease since my wife and I aren't exactly the most natural in front of the camera. Several of our guests asked us if he was a friend, since we were so comfortable with him, but we hadn't even met him before that day. Throughout the whole process Dan was great at communicating with us about the schedule and our expectations. We wanted our photos to look natural and classy, with nothing cheesy or too formal. He made sure to capture all the moments that were important to us, and even got the entire party together for an impromptu group photo in front of the venue's amazing barn. He was flexible when there was an issue getting a hotel room for my bridesmaids and me to get ready in. We ended up crammed in a tiny room, stressed about family members travelling from overseas whose arrival was cutting it extremely close to the wedding time! Despite all this unexpected anxiety, Dan showed up and his presence reassured me that we could roll with the punches and have a fun time. I was delightfully surprised by how many angles he could capture in such a tiny space. We received our photos only three days after the wedding, which was sooner than he told us, and he included at least 100 more than was in the contract. We were immensely pleased with the quality of the photos and how he captured all the laughter from the whole day. He took some cool artistic photos of our bouquets, vintage VW vans that we arrived in, and the Morris dancers who entertained us. The most difficult part will be narrowing it down to a couple hundred for our photo album. We have enjoyed going through and printing some candid shots of friends and family to send in our thank-you cards. My only regret is not booking Dan for engagement photos, as they would have looked wonderful, but despite this we didn't have any difficulty in feeling totally at ease with him on the wedding day. Talented, professional and genuine Daniel is an absolute star on the rise. We chose him as our wedding photographer hoping to find someone who could capture the authentic moments instead of purely posed photographs, and he was everything we hoped for. Going through our wedding album we've been amazed at the way he's caught everything from our big moments to the background fun that we missed. Cannot recommend him highly enough. It also helps that he's very professional and a good laugh!

What we wanted and more! We really wanted our wedding to be an intimate, fun and unique celebration and it was important for us that the photographs really captured this. We found Daniel using Hitched and it so happened that he was local to our wedding, although we would of selected him either way. We loved his documentary style and appreciated the discussions prior to the wedding on what we would like from him on the day. He spent the entire day with us and honestly didn't stop - from the morning whilst all the bridesmaids were getting ready through to the night as we all hit the dancefloor. He was so kind, well-natured and appreciative and it felt like he was one of the guests! We received the edited photos within days of the wedding, and wow - what we can say, we can't thank Daniel enough for capturing our wedding so well. He really managed to show the laughter, small conversations, amazing food and drink, crazy dance moves and general great feeling from the day. The only problem we have is selecting the absolute best ones for albums! Thanks so much Daniel!

Look no further for your photographer! Dan was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was friendly and funny from the start and amazing at communicating quickly over email. On the day he travelled super far to photograph our wedding and we loved having him around! (And so did our guests) He capture every lovely moment without us even noticing he was there. He always had a smile on his face and was super polite. Most importantly his photography is beautiful and we are sooo happy with our wedding photos! Even one of my bridesmaids who is getting married in a few months time said if she hadn’t of already put a deposit down on a wedding photographer she would pick Dan in an instant! Thank you Daniel! We cannot thank Daniel enough for capturing the joy of our wedding day! Neither of us are particularly comfortable having photos taken, and Daniel made us feel entirely at ease and managed to show our personalities in every photo. He also fit right into our very crowded front room as we got ready in the morning, and took gorgeous getting ready photos and the most stunning photos of our cat that we have ever seen! Daniel was so unobtrusive that after the wedding we wondered if he had actually been present for the speeches (he was), and we have had multiple guests comment on how lovely he was. We found Daniel's photos and loved his documentary style, but chose him because he was very kind and really understood when we told him we had had bereavements this year and wanted someone who could be gentle with us and show the emotion of the day. Every time we have looked at our photos since he shared them with us (which was also incredibly quick!) we have laughed and cried, and found a new favourite every time. Practically Perfect in Every Way It's hard to articulate just how brilliant Dan is. I wish there was a number higher than 5 so that I can give Dan the number of stars he deserves. From the moment we saw Dan's work we knew he was the right person to photograph our day. We had seen so many photographers that focus heavily on the staged shots, but Dan's more candid approach really helps the photos feel natural. His artistic flair really shines through on all of his work. He was professional, responsive and supportive throughout the whole process. We'd never been in front of the camera before, and at our pre-wedding shoot, he immediately and effortlessly made us feel comfortable and at ease. He's also just an all-round great person, and is really lovely to talk to - we would have been happy if he was one of our guests instead of photographer! We have had so many people look at our photos and comment on how they've captured the of the day better than other wedding photos they've seen, and this is one thing that really sets Dan apart. He is there, not missing a moment, but is never intrusive or overbearing, and is worth every penny. He is absolutely fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Invaluable We have always admired Dan’s work and style and knew if there was one thing we weren’t going to compromise on our wedding day, it was going to be the photographer. Dan has a way of capturing the very essence of you, your guests and the whole experience in the most relaxed unobtrusive way. Not just a photographer, Dan also becomes a special part of your day. The turnaround in us receiving our images was so fast and from the moment we opened the gallery we were just in complete awe of them. We have images that will allow us to relive our day and the special moments we shared with our guests, over and over again. Dan what can I say and where do I start! You were amazing! From the moment I booked you, your communication was fantastic and you were organised and responsive. You constantly checked in with me making sure the look we were going for was exactly what we wanted and ensured any of our preferences were met. Dan is so lovely and down to earth and a lot of fun when you get him out of his shell….what happened in the bridal suite stays in the bridal suite 😉 He knew exactly the kind of photos we wanted….natural ‘in the moment’ and his attention to detail is amazing, capturing candid, natural moments and conveying emotion and energy of the day. You captured the day, our personalities and the vibe so perfectly especially in the bridal suite, we had so much fun! Dan said pretend I’m not here, but myself and my bridesmaids said that’s not gonna work for us so he joined in with us and we had so many laughs! We couldn't have asked for better photos and videos, and I am so grateful and thankful to have picked you to capture our day. The photographs are absolutely gorgeous, Dan had them over to us in a couple of days even though we said there’s no rush! We had the best morning going through them all on our honeymoon and remembering little moments of the day... your photos are full of love, emotion, and you definitely captured the vibe on the day. Everyone commented on how relaxed and fun you made the environment whilst capturing the day and my mua said how easy going you were as some photographers are just hanging over her shoulder the entire day. Dan is like a ninja! No idea how you managed to capture some of those photos without us even knowing you were there. We’ve got so many amazing memories that we would have forgotten. Even though we had bouts of torrential rain, when it stopped Dan was right there saying come on let’s get some photos! I had to constantly check he had eaten and had a drink as he just seemed to be like a Duracell bunny! Dan wasn’t just our photographer he was one of guests, mingling with everyone and taking fabulous candid shots, you wouldn’t know he was there unless you wanted him to party with you and he obliged.
