Inspiration

Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside! Especially if it's at East Quay Whitstable wedding venue. It's charm is second to none, as is Sara & Tom's wedding. They were keen to ensure the wedding was a relaxed celebration. They chose a vibrant pink and red colour scheme (Sara's fav colour combo.) All the bridesmaid dresses, table decorations and on-the-day wedding stationery followed the chosen colour scheme and look incredible. Pair that with sun, coastal views and ice-creams, and it's the perfect beach-side wedding. Every detail and wedding day moment has been beautifully docuemented by, Recommended supplier, Daniel McClane Photography.

Fun East Quay Whitstable wedding with vibrant pink and red colour scheme

We mostly found our suppliers through Instagram, having taken inspiration from weddings on Rock My Wedding. We tried to support small businesses where possible. Our cake designer, jeweller, florist, bridal veil maker, ice cream bike, photobooth and more were all small, self-employed outfits. We loved having personal interactions with each of them during the run-up to the day.

Sara & Tom

East Quay Whitstable

Music was such an important part of Sara & Tom's East Quay Whitstable wedding. Since meeting at 16, they shared a love of bands and going to gigs. So, a lot of thought went into the music for their wedding. Sara walked down the aisle to Flyte's acapella cover of Alvvays' 'Archie Marry Me'; their first dance was Sarah by Thin Lizzy, and everyone sang 'You're Still The One' by Shania Twain during the wedding ceremony. I bet the room was full of joy, and they'll never be able to hear that track again without being instantly transported back to that moment.

Wedding Outfits

When choosing your wedding attire, we will always encourage you to wear what you feel comfortable in. Sara absolutely owned her bridal jumpsuit, as did her bridal party in pink mismatched bridesmaid dresses. Every gown complimented her maids personal style. Sara's personalised bow was the perfect wedding hair accessory to complement her bridal look. Tom also looked killer in a double breasted light grey suit. The captures of them both with the wedding party scream happiness and joy. *Adds to our 10 must-have wedding photos article.

Let's hear it for Sara's DIY hoop moon gate altar decoration with pink and red streamers. Wow!

Don't do what you think is 'expected' of you on your wedding day. Only do what is going to make you happy on the day! When you decide upon your guest list, table plan, outfit choices, shut out the outside noise and plan the perfect day for YOU as a couple.

Sara & Tom
