Documentary. I don't direct, I don't pose people, and I won't ask you to hold a moment that's already happened. I arrive, blend in, and film your day as it unfolds — then shape it into something that genuinely feels like you. Most couples tell me afterwards they'd forgotten I was there. That's exactly the aim.

Get in touch through the enquiry form and tell me about your day. I'll come back to you personally — no automated replies. If we look like a good fit, we'll jump on a Zoom to get to know each other properly. From there it's a deposit to secure your date, and the balance due closer to the wedding. About a month before, I'll send you a detailed questionnaire covering everything from the day's schedule to the films of mine you've loved and the music you're into. We'll then do a final Zoom together so by the time your wedding arrives, we already feel like we know each other.

Spring and summer Saturdays go fast — often 12 to 18 months out. If you have a date in mind, it's worth getting in touch sooner rather than later. Winter and midweek dates tend to have more flexibility, but I'd always rather you check early.

Me. Always. I film every wedding myself and edit every film personally. Your wedding is never handed off or outsourced. It's worth asking any videographer you speak to, because it's not always the case.

Yes and no. I'll ask about your music taste in the questionnaire — the genres, the artists, the mood you're after — and I use that to guide the track selection. I source licensed music through Musicbed and similar platforms, so the specific track you have in mind may not always be available. But I'll always find something that feels right for your film. If you have a live musician at your ceremony, we can sometimes use that audio too, depending on rights.

Yes — drone footage is included as standard in every package where weather and venue restrictions allow. I'm fully qualified, insured, and CAA-registered to fly commercially. If your venue has a no-fly restriction, or conditions on the day aren't right, I'll let you know in advance.

With one camera operator, there are moments during the day where a choice has to be made — groom's reaction or bride walking in, speeches from the front or guest reactions from the back. A second shooter means both happen simultaneously. It's particularly useful if you're both getting ready in different locations, if you have a large guest list, or if you just want more of the day covered. My regular second shooter Alina is someone I've worked with for years — it's not a stranger turning up with a camera.

That depends on your package, but as a guide: a teaser lands within 48 hours of your wedding. Content clips for social media are usually with you the following day. Your full films — highlight film, ceremony film, speeches film — follow at around 10–12 weeks, delivered to your own private online gallery. I shoot across multiple cameras that each bring something different — different looks, different feels, different results. My setup includes a DJI Ronin 4D cinema camera, Panasonic Lumix S1IIs, a DJI Pocket 4 for the shots you can't get any other way, and a DJI Air 2S drone for aerials. Everything is edited in DaVinci Resolve — the same software used in Hollywood film post-production.

Cameras fail. Guests step in front of lenses at the wrong moment. Technology does what technology does. That's exactly why I shoot the ceremony and key moments across multiple cameras simultaneously — it's not just for the different angles and looks, it means I always have a backup running. In over 20 years of filming I've never lost a moment because of a technical failure, and that's not luck. It's the system.

Your footage is backed up to multiple drives immediately after your wedding day — and one of those backups is kept off-site. So even in the unlikely event of a fire, a flood, or a break-in, your footage is safe. I don't consider a wedding done until the films are delivered and you've confirmed you have them. Your day only happens once. The footage is treated accordingly.

In over 20 years it's never happened, but I have a network of professional filmmakers I trust if the absolute worst were to occur. You're also fully protected financially under my terms and conditions. I've never had to use that clause, and I intend to keep it that way.

Yes. I've filmed across the UK and internationally. For destination weddings I ask you to cover travel, accommodation and any applicable costs — I'll always be transparent about those upfront with no surprises.

Always. I see the whole supplier team as one unit on the day. I'll always coordinate with your photographer ahead of the ceremony so we're not working against each other — and on the day I move to complement their coverage rather than compete with it.

Fair question. The honest answer is that the Instagram started long before the weddings did. I've spent over two decades filming in the music industry — touring the world with bands like McFly and The Vamps, directing music videos, documenting the kind of moments that only happen once in an arena in front of 20,000 people. The audience found me there first. Turns out the skills transfer pretty well. When I'm not filming weddings I'm still very much in that world — whether that's on tour, behind the scenes on a music documentary, or on set for a commercial. It all feeds into the same thing: an instinct for the unrepeatable moment, and twenty-plus years of practice at capturing it.
