FAQS
Will my bridal makeup last for the whole wedding?
Yes your bridal makeup will last for the duration of your wedding day. I pride myself on using premium tried and tested products in my kit that will ensure that your makeup goes the distance. I use setting sprays, finishing powders, water proof mascaras etc. I also include touch up kits for my brides to take with them on the big day to ensure they can re apply lipstick and powder If necessary.
Do I need to have a pre wedding trial appointment?
Yes I would always recommend having a trial session prior to the wedding, the trial appointment is an opportunity for me to meet you and get to know your skin and hair texture, your individual features and any concerns/ goals you have for your wedding day makeup & hair look. During the trial I will make notes of all the products I use and also take reference pictures so that I can recreate the look for you seamlessly on the big day. I love my trials because it gives me a chance to really get to you know as a person a little bit and understand your style and that helps me create a look that’s tailored to your personality.
How long before the wedding do I need to book my trial session?
I usually recommend six to eight weeks prior to the wedding . This is because it’s good to have our meeting relatively close to the wedding so that your skin tone is the same and hair colour/ length etc But lots of my brides like to book them a bit more in advance which is absolutely fine too. It’s really up to the client and their preference.
What makeup brands do you use?
I use a mixture of brands but my personal favourites are Charlotte Tilbury, Mac, Nars and Laura Mercier I particularly love to work with Charlotte Tilbury on my brides because I feel the products are so glowy and luxurious on the skin. I love the soft warm tones and I think they lend themselves so well to bridal work. They last well and they photograph amazingly too. The products also smell amazing
