FAQS
Can we provide the caterers ourselves?
You can provide your own caterer. However, they will need to be fully insured and provide us with any appropriate documentation. Which ever caterer you choose, you will agree prices etc directly with them and pay them directly.
What's included in the hire cost?
There is one cost for the venue hire which includes the following: • Four giant tipi hats • Wooden flooring throughout • Access for 4 hours day prior for set up. Access from 9am until 12.30am on day of your wedding. Access from 10am to 12noon day after the wedding to clear away. • 18 tables • 36 benches • 15 chairs • Fairy lights on most poles • Bar set up • Pay bar (packages can be arranged and we can take cash or card on the bar) • Luxury Toilets • Power (via silent running generator) • Parking • Selection of tables/trunks/suitcases for display purposes • Indoor and outside firepit • Selection of outside seating and tables The tipis hold a maximum of 110 guests seated, 150 overall.
Can I get married at the venue?
Unfortunately, current legislation does not allow formal wedding ceremonies to take place in tipis or other similar temporary structures. You can of course have a celebrant in attendance to bless the wedding or similar.
Can we provide our own drink?
You must use the bar service provided by Elms Meadow but we will be happy to provide any specific drinks that you may require. However, should you have a need to supply your own wine for the event we will charge a corkage fee.
When can I have access to the tipis?
A normal hire period for weddings is for 48 hours. This allows you plenty of time to set up and remove everything after the wedding. The bar will close at 11.30pm and the music and the wedding must finish by midnight. All guests must be off site by 12.30am. You can dress the venue yourself or we can assist you in accessing anything that you may need or require.
