What is your background?
I started off organising large international conferences for an animal welfare charity, following that I've run many events departments for organisations in London, helping those organisations build brand awareness and engagement with customers and supporters through brand launches, workshops, awards dinners, conferences etc. In 2020, after organising weddings and large birthday parties privately, we decided to set up H2 events to bring a sustainable approach to event management and use our skills to work with couple to achieve their dream day. We are both calm and organised and fun is behind everything we do!
What is the process when you work with couples?
Firstly, after an initial email or phone call, we'd arrange a coffee. I can't stress enough how important it is to meet with your wedding suppliers, it's important to be surrounded by people you like on your wedding day! We'll spend time getting to know you, we'll chat through any ideas you have, your budget, and any particular concerns you have or parts that you are excited about organising yourself! From there we can suggest 3x suppliers for each aspect, if none of them are the right fit, no problem, we'll suggest three more and keep going until everything is perfect. We'll help you keep track of your budget, negotiate contracts and arrange licences - don't worry we can walk you through everything! We will be there on the day, so that you can relax and enjoy, just like you should be doing!
Do you offer set packages?
Simply, no! Every couple is different and likes to work in a different way. We can offer full planning and design, through to on-the-day coordination - and everything in between! If you only want help with a part of planning that you are dreading, or just don't like just say and we can work out a price for that! On the day coordination starts at £1200. Full planning is based on a percentage of your budget, with a minimum spend, which will be worked out on the work involved (for example a marquee wedding will involve more work). Consultation and advice is £55 per hour, with a minimum 3 hour charge.
Do you have any policies that make you different?
For each couple that we work with we make a charitable donation, we either plant a tree to offset our carbon footprint, or help provide clean water via our partner charities Just a Drop and Eforest. You just chat between you and decide which charity appeals to you most.
What areas do you operate in?
We do most of our work in Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire. But we will of course travel!
Do you work with dry hire venues?
Absolutely, yes!! Although we make sure that whatever venue we work with is the venue that suits the couple, we do specialise in marquee weddings and dry hire venues. A dry hire venue allows us to source the supplier that will perfectly match your vision.
Do you offer an on the day service?
Yes we do! This service begins approximately a month before your wedding date. We'll contact all of your suppliers and take care of the last minute logistics. We will be there on the day to be the main point of contact and work behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Thank you SO, SO much, I literally cannot say thank you enough. Our wedding wouldn't have remotely been so chill without you. With you it felt like having a best friend by our side, not just someone hired in.
We just wanted to send an email to say a simple Thank You. Quite literally without you we wouldn't have had our dream wedding. The decorations, flowers, food, drink, marquee etc was perfect down to a tee. We have had nothing but compliments on our wedding and how unique and amazing our wedding was. We had the best day from start to finish! You made everything so easy. We saw you smiling the whole way through the ceremony and we wouldn't and couldn't think of anyone else we would rather helped us. Again just thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We won't ever forget this.
We just wanted to say a massive, massive, massive thank you for everything you did for us leading up to the event and yesterday. We couldn't have asked for a better day and you definitely played a massive part in making that happen. The team were also great and good fun to have there on the day.
