We held our wedding at Manoir Beaulieu in September 2023 and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue and set up. James, Lauren and their supporting staff provide an amazing experience down to the finest detail. Throughout the wedding planning, they are both helpful and knowledgeable meaning planning a wedding abroad isn’t stressful. Throughout the weekend they ensure the wedding runs smoothly and guests don’t want for anything. The food is amazing and our guests are still talking about it two months later! We couldn’t have wished for better hosts and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

It was an amazing day more than we could have wished for. The owners Lauren and James did everything to make our day perfect from delicious food for our wedding breakfast to a bbq the next day-not to mention the fabulous home made pizzas. The day itself ran perfectly smooth using all the contacts from their wedding brochure-celebrants, florists, bands and photographer. Our guests commented on how wonderful the venue was a beautiful scenic house and gardens and pool! If you are thinking of having your wedding here do not hesitate to book!

It was everything we dreamed of and more. We stayed for a week, and it was the perfect location for a relaxing holiday in the sun, before transforming into an absolutely stunning wedding venue for our big day. Lauren and James worked tirelessly to ensure our wedding ran without a hitch, coordinating our suppliers and cooking up the most incredible food. They also catered our welcome meal the night before (we highly recommend you try their pizzas!) and a BBQ for all our guests the day after. It truly was the most perfect day, in amongst the most perfect week! Thank you Lauren and James!

It was honestly the most wonderful day. Lauren and James made our whole stay and wedding day completely perfect! The venue is stunning, the food was by far the most fantastic wedding food we have ever had and they had incredible contacts for flowers, photography and wine. Our stay and day was more than we could have ever dreamed of! There is no doubt we will be going back – along with half of our wedding guests, who all commented how amazing this place was!

Wow- so these two know what they are doing. The whole experience of staying at Manoir Beaulieu really will stay with us for ever. Lauren and James managed to bring our wedding dreams to life and somehow make them even better. They really are incredible team. Their work ethic is second to none and we cannot thank them enough for all the effort and love they poured into our wedding.

I have wanted to leave this review for a very long time but when I think of how amazing MB was I just struggle to put it into words! We got married June 25 and it was truely the best time of our lives and all of that was made possible by Lauren & James. From the moment we booked until even now. We wanted somewhere relaxed, personable and beautiful, it delivered on all of those requirements. Lauren & James were easily accessible on a Whatsapp and we had some calls with Lauren and it just helped everything go smoothly when planning a wedding in a different country. We hadn't seen the venue before booking, we were a bit unsure if we had been a bit too spontaneous but when we arrived it was juts perfect, it looks even better in person then in the beautiful photos of it! Lauren and James were both there to meet us but then leave you to it but they are easily accessable by a quick message! The house is gorgeous, the flowers were all out at the front. Each bedroom was decorated perfectly and the pool out the back was perfect when it was so hot, during out stays it was high 30s! So it was very much needed. The wedding day its self was such a dream, we honestly had he best time and think that was all down to Lauren. She did a walk through the day before and then was there to guide us on the day and offer solutions or discuss things we hadn't thought about (which was quite a lot!). Where the temp was so high, Lauren and James had though about that and there was also lots of covers and cold water - even our guests noted how well they were looked after in the heat. The FOOD! James is truly a master of his craft! We just cannot explain how good the food was. We were so well taken care of and fed to the highest standard. We had dinner on the first day, which he made us more of for left overs the next day, then breakfast the wedding morning was provided. But the food on the day was just fantastic, we still talk about it today. A few guests said it was the best peppercorn sauce they have EVER had. The BBQ food the next day was my favourite, there was so much but it was just so good. We have tried to re-create it so many times and just failed as we cannot replicate how good it was. James and his team were angels! The only negative we had is that we wished we had stayed longer as it actually hurt to say goodbye. We will hold this place in our hearts and would love to come back to experience just a little of what we experienced during our short stay.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue. From the moment we arrived, Lauren and James made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. Nothing was ever too much trouble, annd this was pushed to the max when Lauren rallied to find us a new photographer at approx 1pm on our wedding day when our original photographer didn’t show up!!! 🤯 (shout out to Ian from A Very French Wedding, thank you again ❤️) The house is so stunning. You will gasp when you walk through. The spiral staircase omg! 😍 All the furniture is so beautiful, and every room is special, I struggled to pick which one we would stay in!! You won’t stay anywhere else like this 🫶 Highlight for us was the FOOD! The food was amazing the whole experience from our pizza night (the cheesy garlic bread!!), wedding day meal (for me: the tomatoes!!! the gazpacho!!!), wedding night (the Greek kebabs!!!) and next day bbq (the sausage!!!!) - every meal was delicious….but the pizza was just next level. It was such a hit with everyone, (even my father in law who doesn’t usually like pizza!!), and we had plenty to keep us going for days afterwards! *banging* The venue itself is so beautiful and has such a special, relaxed atmosphere. I loved sitting under the trees and listening to the birds in the early morning and just taking it all in. It gave us the perfect backdrop for celebrating with our family and friends, and we’ll always remember it with so much fondness. The staff are sooo friendly and thoughtful, I was even chased down by Julia at one point with canapés to make sure I didn’t miss out! They made up cocktails for our guests in advance, moved around decor to make sure we maxxed out all our flowers etc, lugged all of our drinks from the barn to the pool for the next day bbq…all the behind the scenes things that make everything feel so seamless to us. All of our guests commented on how fab the whole team were. We’re so grateful to Lauren, James, George, Julia and everyone else who works at MB for making our wedding such a wonderful, unforgettable experience. You gave us the wedding day we dreamed of and so much more. We are both ridiculously chuffed with how the whole weekend went - it was truly perfect. Manoir Beaulieu will surpass every single expectation you have. The venue is incredible - pictures & videos do not do it justice and Lauren and James make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The whole process from initial contact, throughout various planning stages and then the final 4 day event is made super easy. Lauren is on hand throughout and has a solution for everything whether it be accommodation for wedding guests, drinks and beverage choices/quantities, end of the night transport for wedding guests, right down to last minute weather worries! She’s there for it all. The food is spectacular, it was a real highlight of the wedding and the main point feedback from our guests - they loved it all. James and the team really delivered on every single meal we had. Our whole stay with them was seamless, honestly cannot fault it. Special shout out to George’s work behind the scenes and particularly behind the bar, he’s the man. Just want to say our thanks to James, Lauren and the whole team there. It was the wedding of a lifetime. And if you’re reading this wondering whether to book with them.. go for it - you won’t regret it!

Perfection! We loved our stay here, Lauren & James along with their team are the consummate hosts and wedding professionals. The manoir is stunning, the grounds beautiful and the view is so relaxing. We had rain on our special day but a very calm Lauren already had plans at the ready to change our wedding so that we all had the best day imaginable. The food was brilliant throughout the 3 days really delicious and loads of it! Thanks George for being the best barman. Choosing Manoir Beaulieu for our wedding venue near Bordeaux was by far one of the best decisions we have ever made. The team is incredibly committed to ensuring no stone is left unturned, working around the clock to ensure you really do have the wedding you dreamed of. We chose Lauren and James' place because we didn't want a grand château wedding that was completely not our style. We wanted something relaxed in atmosphere but truly magical in setting. There are many unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make the special occasion perfect, and we were lucky enough to find time to share a glass of champagne with some of them. Malcolm, Dianne, and Andy in the kitchen... just YUM, great job... our guests still have full bellies and are commenting on how great the food was. Of course George and the lovely ladies keeping us all lubricated throughout the weekend... solid effort guys. If you're looking for a wedding abroad that will include no stress, an impeccable venue, and a team that truly cares about your special day... this is it... honestly... 10/10. Manoir Beaulieu really doesn't do churn!!

Lauren, James, George, Suzi & all of the MB team - wow wow wow! What a wedding week we had! There is a reason these guys have a 5 star rating. We were lucky enough to have our wedding here in August 2024, and the MB team were devout to bringing our vision to life and making our day perfect. We have made so many memories to last a lifetime. On deciding on our wedding venue, we wanted somewhere relaxed abroad where we could spend a week in the summer sun with our closest family and friends eating and drinking locally sourced foods and wine. On discovering MB, a beautifully restored gîte & barn, nestled in the beautiful French countryside (think sunflower fields), we knew instantly it was the one! The food- where to even start! From the wood fired pizza served on our pre-wedding night dinner, to the food on the wedding day (we had the locally cured meat sharer starter, wood fired chicken followed by fruit tarts at our 'tart table'), absolutely everything served was of the highest quality and stunningly tasty! Suzi made us a canele tower (the best caneles we have ever tasted!) and a mille-feuille for our BBQ day 2 - not only were these visual masterpieces (see pics) but they tasted OH SO GOOD! We have had so many comments from guests about how delicious all the food was! George kept all guests watered throughout the wedding day / Day 2 & kept the Spritz bar and James' stub hub/beer bath in free flow- for that he was many a guests' favourite person!! Booking MB was the best decision we made in celebrating our marriage and we have no hesitation in recommending them as a wedding venue and/or group holiday destination for an event or just some quiet bliss.
