FAQS
What is your style of floristry?
My style is seasonally led, and is inspired by the magic of nature. I love the wiggliness of natural stems, the dance of Summer cottage borders, and the frothiness of Spring hedgerows. I try to bring movement and lightness into my floral designs, whatever the occasion; causing you to stop and look twice at the beauty of what nature has created.!
Where do you source your flowers from?
I use British-grown flowers wherever possible, so that my work is truly in line with the seasons, as well as supporting British Flower Farmers. If I do need to import flowers, I bring them in from no further afield than mainland Europe, so as to minimise the air miles and carbon footprint impact they have.
How sustainable is your floristry?
Minimising the environmental impact of my floristry is a core value for me, and so I use sustainable mechanics in everything that I do; meaning no floral foam is used in any of my designs. I aim for all the materials in my creations to be able to be composted, re-used, or recycled, so as to reduce what is sent to landfill. As a keen gardener, I also have a small cutting patch and my aim is to use a piece of something I've grown in every item I create. I am still mesmerised by what can bloom from a tiny seed, and that is something that I want to be able to share!
What's your favourite thing to create?
I LOVE a large installation! Something that can make a real statement and impact on your Wedding day. I also love working with colour - even if it's just down to a statement ribbon on your bouquet...a pop of colour never goes amiss!
