We believe in all-in, surprise-free package quotes. Therefore, we do not charge any extra travel fees within our service radius (80 miles from where the act is based). Anything farther will depend on availability and distance. We check your venue location upon enquiry and will let you know well in advance of any potential additional fees.
A 25% deposit is required at the time of contract signing, in order to secure the date. Your remainder is due 90 days prior to the event.
It’s best to book as early as possible to ensure availability. May to September Saturdays are the most sought-after, booking at least a year in advance. Fridays are also in high demand.

Yes, based on your chosen line-up you may have 1 or more of our regular vocalists perform for you on the night. If you have any preference for a specific vocalist, please let us know.

Yes, most of our acts offer fully-tailored sets whereby you can choose your favourite tunes for us to play. Letting us know your special requests in advance will enable us to ensure your perfect vision comes to life on the day.
We specialise in offering a wide variety of musical genres, such as: Pop, rock, soul, funk, disco, dance, EDM, rock’n’roll, jazz, swing, blues, reggae, folk, country, bluegrass, Irish, Scottish, Spanish, Jewish and classical music. Our musicians are versed in multiple styles, which enables us to offer a scope of musical genres within one event.
Most acts play sets of 45 or 60 minutes with a 30min break. Alternatively, the two 60min sets can be divided into three 40min sets. Feel free to discuss your needs with us further.
We offer flexible setup solutions for all types of events. In discussion with you, the venue coordinator and event planner we will endeavour to find a setup plan that meets the event’s schedule and logistic requirements.
Yes, as long as the weather is suitable and there is appropriate shelter and power access. A cover arrangement is necessary to protect the band, the electric equipment, and any wooden instruments not only from rain, but from strong winds and / or direct sunlight.
Space requirements are roughly 3-4m deep x 5-6m wide, depending on the size of the band, or a 1-2m deep x 3-4m wide for solo performers, duos or DJs. If you are concerned about space at the venue, we can definitely discuss with you further and advise on the best setup.
We require a parking arrangement, two 13-amp sockets (ideally from separate power points), a warm meal and soft drinks. INPORTANT: Make sure to enquire with your venue regarding sound restrictions and let us know as soon as possible to avoid complications.
We supply all necessary amplification and lighting. This will depend on the size of the band, dimensions of the space, loading/unloading or audio related restrictions set by the venue.
Absolutely. We can help plan the event with you and source out complementary services such as: Dancers, speciality acts, photobooth, silent disco, bucking bronco, face painting, games and team building activities to name but a few. We can’t wait to discuss the different options with you and start planning.
All of our packages offer the option to upscale with a professional manned DJ set. Our DJ will liaise with you and take your song requests both in advance and on the night, to keep your dancefloor buzzing with club-like energy (see clause 1. for unmanned disco services).
Background music or a disco playlist is always included between the musical sets. Some of our packages also include two hours of disco service after the live sets (see your package proposal for details). Depending on the agreed arrival and departure times we may also offer music before / after sets, or a full day package (fees may apply). Make sure to discuss these requirements with in advance, so that we can offer the best package for your needs.
A PAT test is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use, and is often requested by venues. All of our electrical equipment is being tested on a yearly basis (copy available upon request).
PLI covers damage to another person or their property during your event. Most venues require acts to have this insurance. All of our acts are covered by a £5-10 million liability which is renewed yearly (copy available upon request).
Venues that offer live or recorded music played during private celebrations have to have a valid music license. Most established venues will have one, however it is worth double checking for DIY style events and when using local hire such as church or village halls.
If you need to either postpone or cancel your event, please do get in contact with us as early as possible and we will strive to find the best resolution for all parties involved. Up to 90 days prior to the event date, you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit. Under 90 days’ notice may incur some fees to account for time dedicated towards your event planning. Those fees are detailed in our performance contract under clause 8.
Our moto is: Never leave a client without entertainment. Our contract covers you from any type of cancellation. Unless in rare cases such as force majeure, we will always strive to ensure that your event is a success and that a suitable replacement act is available to you.
Depending on the act’s availability this may be possible at additional cost. Discuss this possibility in advance as much as possible to ensure availability.
We will always aim to accommodate changes to date or times to the best of our ability. Make sure to contact us as soon as possible for the best chances of fulfilment.
OMG where to begin?!? What an amazing experience we had, from our initial contact with the group/owner/lead singer, Lilac, all the way through to our wedding day. Before booking we had a fair amount of correspondence, information bouncing backwards and forwards with my specific questions to their professional opinions and information. I had a vision which I presented and it was clear from the start we could trust them to produce exactly what was wanted. Once we confirmed our booking, over the 12 months before our wedding, there were zoom chats and even a dinner date for us all to meet and put together our tailored set list arrangements, for both solo acoustic sets and country band sets (which we had booked a 5 piece but due to some changes in circumstances ended up with an 8 piece 🫶🏼👌🏼) Their professionalism is 2nd to none and faultless. On the big day, they arrived early, with their engineer not only managing to get a whole lot of equipment set up and maintained for 2 different on site locations but also spending time documenting the highlights.. the work that goes on behind the scenes is paramount and knowing the basics I was highly impressed. Now, for the performances.. obviously this is what everyone soaks in the most! Perfection is in the eye of the beholder and as I have no doubt, the band will confirm this, my requirement of this is relentless (the musical element to the day was almost as important to me as the day itself) and I can hand on heart express how I felt their performances were exactly the level of perfection I envisioned. I'm not the crying kind, I held back tears at the ceremony but Lilac managed to break me during her solo acoustic performances twice! Upon the band starting to play for our bride and groom enterance to the marquee we were compelled to jump straight onto the dance floor and we were both encapsulated by a stunning performance. Not being one to usually be found on the dancefloor too long I felt the lack of need to leave for the entire 1st set. I remember a conversation with Lilac about being able to get all the guests dancing and my stating I'll put every effort into ensuring that dancefloor was filled. Well, within the 1st minute we went from Mr & Mrs alone on the floor to having the room filled, although my assertiveness instigated this, it was the band that kept them all there from start to finish. What a wonderful wedding we had and what an epic musical experience everyone had! We've had nothing but high praise from all our guests and my only response is "weren't they amazing?!" Finally, on a personal level. These guys are absolutely as lovely as they are professional. Their genuine passion for what they do and their personalities shine through not only their performances with smiles, energy and interactions but just in conversation before and afterwards. Outstanding work, beautiful people. We love you, we loved what you did for us and appreciate each of you for being you and being a major piece of the best day of both our lives 🫶🏼👌🏼🤗 Thankyou!!!! A massive thank you to you and the band for making Ronnie's birthday celebration so magical. You truly raised the bar with your performance, and the family were delighted with the quality of the performance. For me, the highlight was seeing Ronnie dance and being sung to whilst all his guests watched. It was one of those moments when you know all the hard work was worth it. The fact that you made such an effort to immerse the guests in the performance by coming into the dining room was extra special. I have worked with many bands over the years, and I have to say quite honestly, your professionalism, kindness and lack of ego is second to none. I would love to have the opportunity to work with you again in the future, and hopefully, we can make the magic happen again!
BEST BAND EVER!! Lilac and her 6pc funk band played at our wedding in Summer 2021, and Rem DJ'd. Both sets were absolutely fantastic! In the build up to the wedding, Lilac and Rem were incredibly helpful in guiding us through our playlist, identifying crowd pleasers and song collections which worked incredibly well together. They were both full of ideas and suggestions and left no stone unturned in their preparations! Planning our evening set with them was a real giggle! They were very clear in outlining their requirements on the day, and recommending what timings would work well. They were also incredibly understanding, cooperative, and willing to be flexible as we waited to plan our wedding around COVID. On the day, Lilac and the team were full of energy and this reverberated around the room, creating a truly special atmosphere! Lilac has an amazing, soulful voice and so much stage presence! The saxophonist was also outstanding!! They kept the dance floor filled all evening and full of noise as we all sang along. Lilac and the team's set was incredible, and they kept going beyond the two 45 min slots to all of our delight! Rem's DJ set to conclude the evening was incredible! He struck a really great balance between old school classics and more modern, higher tempo tunes. We'll remember excitedly dancing along to Avici and Craig David, and finishing off with a sing along to Wonderwall, Sweet Caroline and Angels, with all our best friends surrounding us, for the rest of our lives! Thank you so much for a massive contribution towards making our wedding the best day of our lives!
What an incredible band and experience! My wife and I couldn't be happier for finding Sound with Us for our wedding. From the very start, Lilac and Remko carefully worked with us to prepare for our big day. They got to know us personally and had several meetings to make sure that we had the music and experience that we wanted. They even learned some songs and took requests to make the ceremony and reception special and unique to us. They provided their feedback and were able to give suggestions about the flow of the day since we had the band for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. They even adapted to have 3 different variations of the band for the reception - with a hora, a ceilidh, and funk band at different parts. And from the moment the band kicked off the party with "Africa" by Toto, the energy was relentless. The band and the guests were 100% committed to having a great time and dancing the night away. To this day, I still have guests commenting on how incredible the band was and how it was an unforgettable night because of them.
