Are you insured?
Yes! We have personal DJ Public Liability Insurance (PLI) which covers you and your guests in case of accident or injury, up to £10,000,000 - We can provide certification to your venue or event coordinator upon request.
Where will you travel?
Anywhere! Wedding Jam is based in Didsbury, in Greater Manchester, but we've taken multiple bookings across Europe, we have an office in Cambridge so cover London and The Shires, and hit Scotland a fair few times over the years! It doesn't matter where your event is, Wedding Jam gets there! Packages for destination weddings are available now, head to the BOOK NOW page and make an enquiry.
Do you take requests on the night?
Of course! It's only natural for people who are having a good time to request their favourite songs from the DJ, band, or musician. But rest assured, Wedding Jam will never let bad requests derail the party! Part of the process once you've booked me is our 'music consultation'. Here, we can chat about all the music you love, but more importantly, set out some ground rules for any genres or tracks you want to avoid. This is followed by the 'spin' and 'swerve' list where you can be more specific in outlining the 'bangers' and 'clangers' we'll use to navigate the set on the night. If you tell us you don't want 'Sweet Caroline' at your wedding, we promise we won't play it... no matter how many people ask!
Is your gear PAT tested?
Yes. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. All of our gear is PAT tested and documentation can be provided to your venue or event coordinator upon request.
What if the music stops?
Obviously with any live music performance, things can sometimes go wrong. Cables can be pulled out, laptops can crash, microphone batteries can die! All of these scenarios are INCREDIBLY RARE and over the many years we've played at clubs, festivals, parties and weddings, Wedding Jam dealt with pretty much any disastrous event you could think of. Our artists carry spare cables, backup hardware and extra music sources, so that if anything does go wrong, we will get us back up and running with barely any interruption!
