Do you travel?
Of course! We love to travel! We do charge extra for the time depending on the location and you’ll need to cover transportation and accommodation for all band members. Ask your producer for a quote based on the specifics of your event. PS–if it’s within a couple hours, that’s included within our basic package at no added charge.
What does the band wear?
You can request different styles in our online planning system depending on the formality of your event.
Do you play corporate events?
We do! See our events page for more details.
Can the band play the ceremony and cocktail hour?
Absolutely! We’re an all-inclusive band with a broad musical repertoire. Want classical music for your ceremony, a jazz set for your cocktail hour, and dance party reception? You’ve got it. Speak to your producer for more specific details and requests.
What style of music do you play?
We play a wide variety of music. From Top 40, to classics, to classical and jazz. You can get an idea of the musical styles you can choose from on our media page.
Can I choose the music?
We have a solid repertoire of songs that will please all of your guests from your 6-year old niece to your grandfather. It’s always important to have some freedom to read the room on the night; but our number one priority is pleasing YOU. Just let us know what you want to hear, and, if it’s not already in our repertoire, we’ll work with you to make your night perfect. You can also give us a list of songs that you love and songs that you dislike on your planning page–we’ll base our choices on your music preferences.
Will you learn a new song for us?
Of course! Just make sure you give us enough notice of your special request so the the band has time to learn your song.
How long does the band play for?
Our standard booking is for a five hour call time from the time the band needs to have completed their setup. Within this time, we offer up to 3 x 45-minutes party sets. We play a DJ playlist based on your music preferences whenever the band is not playing and supply PA and basic stage lighting. We suggest working out what time you want the band to finish and work backwards when it comes to working out set times. It’s best to limit the set breaks to no more than 30mins to avoid losing the momentum of the party.
Thank you so much for everything you have done this year since Joel and I hired the band for the wedding. You have been a dream to deal with! So meticulous, prompt, organised, efficient, professional and easy to deal with. The music during the ceremony and drinks reception was beautiful and the band in the evening were incredible. Thank you so much for creating such a party atmosphere which encouraged a huge turn out on the dance floor. It was amazing and both Joel and I had the time of our lives!!!
We are so happy we decided to use The WooHoo Band for our wedding day, they were absolutely brilliant. The dance floor was full the entire night, with a great mix of both recent and classic songs that everyone across all generations can dance to. We provided a list of songs/artists that we liked and they absolutely nailed it with their playlist for us. Not only were the band great on the day but they were very prompt at responding to us on the run-up and answering all our questions, big or small.
A brilliant group who gave us the most incredible end to our wedding – from the first song, the floor was filled with dancing and fun, and we got to have a brilliant, chaotic ceilidh set too! So many compliments from people on how good the band were. Highly recommend.
