Birdsall House

We have a ramp (if required) for guests with walking difficulties to get up the front steps and access is possible throughout all the downstairs rooms. We have a same level entrance to The Old Kitchens and can show guests where to park for this. Whilst we do not have any bedrooms that can be accessed by wheelchairs, we can advise on local accommodation that is accessible. Please advise us in advance if you have guests who need any specific preparations made for them.

Low noise fireworks and sparklers are permitted, although we do not allow sky lanterns or confetti cannons.

Yes. Every wedding at Birdsall House is held on an exclusive-use basis, giving you and your guests private access to the house, gardens, and estate throughout your celebration. Only ten weddings are hosted each year.

Birdsall House offers flexible spaces for both intimate celebrations and larger weddings. Guest numbers can be tailored from 2 to 300, depending on your chosen ceremony and reception style. Please contact the weddings team to discuss your requirements.

Yes. Couples can hold their ceremony and reception at Birdsall, with a range of ceremony locations including the main house, The Ruins, the Verandah and The Little Temple. St Mary's Church is also available for church ceremonies. Receptions can then take place in the Ballroom, with evening celebrations in The Old Kitchens.

Absolutely. Marquee weddings are one of the estate's options, allowing couples to enjoy an outdoor reception while making the most of the beautiful gardens and parkland.

Yes. Birdsall House offers accommodation for the couple and their guests. The Bridal Suite and five further en-suite bedrooms are included with the two- and three-day wedding options. Additional accommodation is also available nearby, including at Langton Hall.

Yes. Every celebration is individually designed around your plans. Many couples choose to extend their wedding into a two- or three-day experience with welcome events, post-wedding brunches, and additional celebrations.

Yes. The Birdsall House team has established relationships with some of England's leading caterers, florists, photographers, entertainment providers, and other wedding professionals, and is also open to discussing your preferred suppliers.

Yes. Birdsall House holds eight civil ceremony licences. Couples can choose to marry in one of the main reception rooms or outside in The Ruins, on the Verandah or in The Little Temple. St Mary's Church is also available for church ceremonies.

Yes. Ample parking is available within the estate, making it easy for guests to arrive and enjoy the celebrations.

Birdsall House is located near Malton in North Yorkshire, approximately 16–20 miles from York. Malton railway station is around four miles from the estate, making it accessible for guests travelling from across the UK.
