Inspiration

Katie & Daniel's wedding at White Syke Fields is a sight to behold if you love a bright and bold colour palette. The couple opted for a boho and industrial vibe with festoon lighting, dried flowers and those stunning orange bridesmaid dresses. Katie wears a stunning personalised leather jacket that perfectly matches the fun boho vibes the couple wanted to achieve. They even had ping pong and decorated the venue with special family photos. The couple had Recommended supplier, Moss Floral Artistry create their stunning florals.

Industrial wedding at White Syke Fields

The ceremony was our favourite part.
We wanted it to be laid back and relaxed, so we had personalised readings from our close friends which included lyrics from the legendary Tina Turner. The room was filled with joy and laughter throughout our ceremony, which is exactly what we wanted it to feel like.
We both remember feeling so much love in the room but having no awareness of anyone else there but each other. Your wedding day truly is the best day of your life.
Enjoy the build-up, and don’t sweat the small stuff, it will all come together in the end.
Just enjoy every moment of it all and you’ll look back on it in complete awe.

White Syke Fields

Katie & Daniel wanted a venue that let them have complete free reign, which they found with White Syke Fields. They wanted to develop a day that felt laid back and relaxed, with garden games, ping pong and relaxed dining. So they chose a grazing table instead of canapés, sharing platters of bbq food for the main meal and a dessert table. Their main hope for the day was that people would come along and have fun with them. Seeing their loved one's happy faces made their day. The venue looked stunning with those orange and red flowers!

Styling

The couple went for a mix of rustic, industrial and boho styling. They wanted their day to have a homely feel with family photos on the bookcases. The beautiful bamboo vases on the tables were DIY'd by Katie's mum who spent hours matching a style Katie had fallen in love with. With this decor and styling, people felt like White Syke Fields was an extension of the couple's home. Although there wasn’t a general theme, everything fit within a certain colour palette. Katie & Daniel's main goal was wanting to source everything themselves and love it.

We are, and always will be, obsessed with orange bridesmaid dresses!

We knew that we wanted our wedding to be somewhere close to home. We’ve always loved York, so we started looking at venues near there and found White Syke Fields early on and fell in love. From there onwards, we developed a theme for the wedding and researched suppliers who fit the theme and whom we knew we could trust. We spent countless hours on Instagram looking at wedding photos which really helped.
