A shoot inspired by the plentiful colors of autumn, designed to reflect and celebrate the venue’s exquisite natural surroundings, and representing a real couple’s love in an authentic and laidback setting.

Lovers on Amber Lakes

The wonderful thing about an autumn colour palette is there’s no wrong way of pairing the colours together. As we had opted to use tones from the fresher side of autumn, Jessica Eliza Flowers selected flowers and foliage in mottled greens and yellows, various hues of orange and the occasional stem of cream or blush pink to break up the foliage.

To complement each place setting by Allens Hire, LouPaper created a place card and menu duo in neutral tones of ochre, offset by a silky soft pale gold tassel. Ester & Erik candles cast a warm glow over the table and added an extra touch to the cake table, which featured a two tier wedding cake with delicate foliage stencil designs on the bottom tier, created by Anna Lewis Cakes.

Bridal Style

What we really hoped to convey in the fashion elements of this editorial was a real couple in outfits they would actually love to wear on their own wedding day. This led to us selecting a gorgeous dress from Evie Young Bridal, Jagger, which featured a simple silhouette and thin bell sleeves. Clare, with her short, tousled hair and a natural glow of makeup from Lauren Irwin Hair & Makeup, looked every bit the carefree and happy bride. The other half of our lovely couple, Aurita, wore Gormley & Gamble’s signature double breasted white wedding suit tux with pure silk detailing, made using fine Italian Wool.

The boat is a resident feature at Amber Lakes and available for couples to enjoy on their wedding day throughout the summer. In the first planning stages of our editorial, we knew that this boat had to be celebrated in the coolest way possible.
