Soft, romantic and packed with gorgeous climbing florals, this rustic wedding shoot at Woolas Barn photographed by Lauren Elliott Photography is making us feel so nostalgic! Glowing makeup, delicate lace Katya Katya gowns and flowing fabrics all look straight out of a Renaissance painting. Woolas Barn in Yorkshire is full of beautiful crumbly walls, low beams, fantastic natural lighting, and unique rustic features. The possibilities of how to style this space are endless, personally we a contrast between luxe style and raw brick.

This shoot is all about romance, femininity and fine art. I wanted to use the rustic space of Woolas barn, and elevate it to something really soft and whimsical, with a Renaissance-inspired edge.

VIBE

A fine art feel created with browns, pinks and neutral colour palette, muted, uber-romantic tones. We used darkness and light to create intimate and romantic imagery. The florals and fabric bringing femininity and softness.

ROMANTIC STYLING

Sarah from Stories of Events and Emma Cox Floristry were the perfect team to bring the vision to life. Sarah’s use of soft flowing fabrics on the table and the styled areas pulled everything together with a beautiful romance. Emma is the floral maestro and used an abundance of ranunculus, tulips and roses in pinks, mauves and browns to create two beautiful climbing installations, two dried clouds for the table and ceremony space, and two incredibly detailed bouquets.

FASHION & BEAUTY

The Katya Katya gowns really pulled the concept together. We used dresses that had a lot of intricate detail in the sleeves, tiers and lace to add a touch of luxurious maximalism. Likewise, Saint Beth’s earrings and headpieces added to the looks as beautiful finishing touches. The makeup glowed, with hints of pink and mauve, so both the girls looked dewy and beautiful. For hair, it was all about texture and detail!
